Greetings from the San Juan Islands where I am escaping for a few days with family after a much anticipated move-in week. The time, effort and coordination that goes into accomplishing a major renovation is hard to break down. This primary bathroom - just wait for the brass shower door - took hundreds of hours on the part of all who helped create it. Our lovely clients with a specific vision, architect who packed “50 lbs of bathroom in a 5lb box,” GC , , , , , and so many more.
In our studio we often talk about trying to capture the amount of decisions that go into a single room whether it’s a renovation or decor. It is infinite. Our job as the interior designer is to edit those decisions and create something, in this case “warm and traditional with modern touches” that come together so that the end result looks effortless. Not forced. Not trendy. A room where you can ask - was this always here?
