My goal in design is to create a home@that tells your unique story. It’s all about creating a balance of old and new. Mixing vintage and contemporary pieces - like custom sconces that feel bold and modern and wallpaper that evokes nostalgia - adds tension and character. Curated, personal that’s the magic.

My sunroom where it all began. I moved from here into a little studio with one, freshly graduated, design assistant. Last month we moved to a new studio where there is a little more elbow room and lots of creativity from a busy team of talented ladies. But this room will always be special. Where it all began.

It’s going to be a hot one today and I’m ready for a float in this indoor pool. When we renovated this home the pool was already there complete with vintage steel I beams that had been covered up with all kinds of ornamentation. Our objective was to create a serene spa, complete with a steam room, sauna and gym. Staycation anyone?

Room with a view. Our Gates Project kitchen family room featuring a burnished steel fireplace that transitions through the walls to the outside. We used which transition beautifully from the inside to the outside.
