Happy Thursday!!

I am back and cannot wait to get into the kitchen to cook for all of you and your families. We had a summer packed full of travel, it was so great to get away with my family and explore new places and cuisines. What I took away from all our adventures was a renewed interest to be more creative in the kitchen by continuing to add new soups and breads to the menu. I hope you are excited to join me!!

On the menu for TUESDAY, AUGUST 20th is MEXICAN CHICKEN CORN CHOWDER & GREEN CHILE CHEESE BREAD. This corn chowder is loaded with juicy chicken, fresh corn, tomatoes, red bell peppers, and topped with creamy cheese & crunchy tortilla strips. It's creamy, comforting and the layers of flavors are out of this world. This soup was a hit when I made it a few years ago, I am so happy that I found it in my trusty notebook when searching for new recipes. It's the perfect soup to start out the new soup season as I try to capture the flavors of summer before they are gone.

The soup begins with sauteing diced chicken, onions, and a little bit of jalapeno in olive oil for a few minutes. Diced red bell peppers and garlic are added next along with homemade chicken stock. Fresh corn, creamed corn, diced tomatoes, green chiles plus spices that include cumin, chili powder, paprika, and oregano are stirred into the soup. After the soup simmers, a little cream cheese is added to increase the creaminess of the broth. The soup is garnished with fresh cilantro, tortilla strips and a mexican cheese blend.

The bread companion this week is my Green Chile Cheese Bread. We introduced this tasty bread last year and it's a perfect compliment to this soup!! The bread features the delicious flavors of the Southwest ...smoky, slightly spicy roasted green chiles and creamy cheddar cheese.

And a little update on the missing desserts from the menu ..... Jenny Sue Delights is busy with her growing family and will be on a break until November. We will all love her delicious treats and look forward to her desserts returning to the menu :-)

Happy Thursday!!

Welcome to the last menu of the season .... hard to believe but another school year has flown by. And this one marks the graduation of my middle son and him joining his big sister at Penn State in the fall.

There's no way to put all these thoughts and feelings into a few cute sentences, so I'm going to skip it and tell you all about what I can easily write about .... the last menu of the season. And this menu features everyone's favorite soup and the perfect one to end the season with.

On the menu for TUESDAY, MAY 21st is TORTILLA SOUP with GREEN CHILE CHEESE BREAD. This is my go-to soup when I need a fresh and tasty dinner that my whole family will devour. It's the perfect soup to end our year on!

My tortilla soup begins with sautéing onions, red & orange peppers, garlic and zucchini in olive oil with cumin and chili powder. Once softened, corn and black beans are added. Next, homemade chicken stock, fire-roasted tomatoes, and tomato sauce are added. The soup simmers until all the flavors are blended and it's garnished with cilantro, shredded cheddar cheese and tortilla strips.

The bread companion this week is my Green Chile Cheese Bread. We introduced this tasty bread last year and it's a perfect compliment to this soup!! The bread features the delicious flavors of the Southwest ...smoky, slightly spicy roasted green chiles and creamy cheddar cheese.

To place your soup and bread order, please visit SouperDeliverybyDana.com. If you have any questions on the menu or ordering, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you again for being the best customers, this is a job that I love to do and I feel so grateful you let me cook for your families. Enjoy your summer & I'll see you in August!!

Happy Thursday :-)

As we wind down the soup season for the spring, it is pretty apparent what soups we had to include on the last two menus. This week's soup has become one of my most popular and it will be a perfect dinner for you to enjoy during this crazy springtime rush!!

On the menu for TUESDAY, MAY 14th is SPANISH CHICKEN RICE SOUP and ITALIAN SUPERMARKET BREAD. My Spanish chicken rice soup is loaded with chicken, peppery chorizo, and flavorful rice in a delicious tomatoey broth.

The soup begins with sauteing chorizo, a mildly spicy smoked sausage made with pork, rich spices, & paprika. Next, diced carrots, onions, red bell peppers, and garlic are added along with Spanish paprika, a little crushed red pepper, and bay leaves.

Once the veggies are softened, diced tomatoes, shredded chicken and homemade chicken stock are incorporated and brought to a simmer. While waiting for the soup to simmer, we cook the Spanish rice and then add it to the soup. The soup is garnished with Spanish olives, shredded Manchego cheese, and fresh lemon juice and cilantro to add a salty, fresh bite!

The bread companion this week is my ITALIAN SUPERMARKET BREAD. Just like the name says ... it's a fresh loaf of bread that tastes like the loaves of Italian bread you used to be able to pick up from the supermarket. It has a crispy exterior with a nice chewy bite and is coated in sesame seeds. It is simple, but tastes anything but.

Hello!

On the menu for TUESDAY, MAY 7th is MEDITERRANEAN MEATBALL SOUP & ROSEMARY FOCACCIA. These tasty meatballs are filled with fresh mint and garlic and stand out in this Mediterranean-inspired soup, flavored with fresh pomegranate juice, diced tomatoes and fennel.

The soup begins with assembling the meatballs and browning them in the oven. The meatballs are made with lean ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic and fresh mint. Meanwhile, sliced fennel is sautéed in the pot in olive oil.

Once softened, chickpeas, diced tomatoes, fresh pomegranate juice and homemade chicken stock are added. Once the soup begins to boil, the meatballs are dropped in along with chopped fresh kale. The soup is garnished with pomegranate seeds and fresh parsley.

The bread companion this week is my ROSEMARY FOCACCIA. It's crisp on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. Extra-virgin olive oil gives the bread texture and flavor while fresh rosemary and flaked sea salt add the finishing touches to make this bread so unbelievably delicious.

I wanted to let everyone know that desserts will be on hold for a while. My family is growing with the anticipation of our baby girl to arrive very soon! Please be on the lookout for Jenny Sue Delights to return at a later date. Thank you all so much for your support! - Jenny from Jenny Sue Delights

Happy Thursday!

Passover begins next Monday, it's only fair that I share the best part of the Passover meal with all of you. It's been a long time since this customer favorite soup has made an appearance, so I'll try to leave orders open as long as I can .... but get your order in fast because this soup always sells out in record time!

On the menu for TUESDAY, APRIL 23rd is CHICKEN SOUP WITH MATZO BALLS, CHALLAH, & REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES. There's nothing like a comforting and tasty bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup with Matzo Balls, also known as "Jewish Penicillin."

The soup is a simple one....whole Amish chickens, quartered onions, celery sticks and more diced carrots than seems reasonable are dropped into a pot and covered with fresh water. Once the soup comes to a boil, it simmers for a few hours. Afterwards, the chicken is taken out, shredded and dropped back in along with soft, pillowy matzo balls and thin egg noodles.

While I put a fresh garnish on nearly everything I make, this soup I leave alone. It requires nothing. And for those keeping kosher for Passover the matzo balls are pareve and I will happily leave out the noodles for you ... it's a special request option you can select when placing your order.

My bread companion this week is CHALLAH, a soft, eggy bread coated in everything bagel seasoning. Nothing goes together better than challah and chicken soup with matzo balls. With it being Passover, it's going to be a big test of willpower to bake it for all of you and not eat any!

On the menu for dessert are REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES! These cookies are a dream come true for all peanut butter lovers. The cookies have a very soft and puffy element to them, which comes from adding pudding mix to the peanut butter based cookie dough. I add in chocolate chips, Reese Pieces and chopped up miniature Reese’s to finish up the recipe. You will be in peanut butter chocolate heaven after enjoying my husband’s favorite cookie! - Jenny from Jenny Sue Delights

Happy Thursday!!

Spring weather is finally heading our way so here is a delicious spring menu just for you :-) On the menu for TUESDAY, APRIL 16th is SPRING MINESTRONE, ITALIAN HERB BREAD, & ORANGE CREAMSICLE COOKIES.

Minestrone soup originated in Italy, and the name means "big soup" thanks to all the veggies thrown in. This version of the classic minestrone features springtime veggies, lemon zest and fresh herbs.

The soup begins with sautéing diced bacon in the pot ... a little bacon goes a long way in building the layers of flavors in this tasty soup! Next, diced onions, garlic and zucchini are dropped in.

Once softened, white beans and homemade chicken stock are added. After the soup comes to a boil, small pasta, peas, and spinach are mixed in. The soup is garnished with fresh herbs, lemon zest and parmesan cheese.

The bread companion this week is my ITALIAN HERB BREAD. This delicious bread is filled with garlic, butter and fresh herbs. This bread is a fan favorite and the fresh herbs in it will make a perfect compliment to your soup.

On the menu for dessert this week are ORANGE CREAMSICLE COOKIES. A cookie that is perfect for spring! These cookies are a perfect combination of orange and white chocolate to provide a delicious creamsicle flavor - as they have orange zest and white chocolate chips in them. Be sure to try this new cookie and get your orders in before they sell out! ~ Jenny from Jenny Sue Delights

Hello & Welcome back!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their break, we had so much fun on our trip that I feel like I need another one to relax & recover from spring break. Somehow I don't think that's in the cards, so we are diving back into the routine.

And while I am disappointed that I'm back in my winter clothes, it does present me with the opportunity to feature a heartier soup on the menu this week. And I know a lot of you would have been disappointed if I ended the soup season without offering this unique and tasty soup!!

On the menu for TUESDAY, APRIL 9th is WEST AFRICAN PEANUT STEW, MULTI-SEED BREAD, and OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES. This West African-inspired stew of chicken, sweet potatoes and peanuts is rich, creamy and packed with flavor!

The secret ingredient here is chunky peanut butter, it adds great texture and the essential peanut taste to the stew. If the idea of peanut butter and tomatoes makes you question this soup, I urge you to get past your apprehension. My mother, who doesn't like peanut butter, was hesitant at first but once she tried it she absolutely loved it.

The stew begins with sautéing onion, garlic and fresh ginger in the pot. Next, diced chicken is added to brown. Once the chicken is cooked, homemade chicken stock, diced sweet potatoes and a little crushed red pepper are added. Once the sweet potatoes are soft, diced tomatoes, fresh kale and chunky peanut butter are dropped in. The stew is garnished with fresh cilantro and chopped peanuts.

My bread companion this week is my MULTI-SEED BREAD. This delicious bread is dark, slightly sweet and has a satisfying crunch from the multi-seed topping. Not only is it fantastic fresh from the oven, if you can save some for breakfast it makes the best toast!!

On the menu for dessert are OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES. As a staple cookie in any baker's kitchen, my version will certainly not disappoint! These cookies are made with brown sugar, vanilla (a whole TBSP!), cinnamon, chewy oats, sweet raisins, and a secret ingredient that creates a soft and chewy cookie! They have moist and tender centers, with a slight crisp on the edges. - Jenny from Jenny Sue Delights

Happy Thursday!

On the menu for TUESDAY, MARCH 19th is COZY CHICKEN SOUP WITH WILD RICE and CHALLAH. This cozy chicken soup is made with fresh seasonal veggies, a hearty wild rice mix and a deliciously creamy (non-dairy) broth. And with the weather fluctuating between winter and spring recently, I thought we would all enjoy a cozy bowl of soup regardless of the day's weather.

The soup begins with sautéing celery, carrots, onion, and garlic in a little bit of olive oil. Once softened, diced sweet potato, mushrooms, and fresh thyme are added.

Next, the wild rice mix, shredded chicken, and homemade chicken stock are added and the soup simmers until the rice is tender. Wild rice is lower in calories and higher in protein than other rice. The soup is finished with coconut milk and fresh kale. Coconut milk adds the creaminess and slight sweetness to the soup.

My bread companion this week is CHALLAH, a soft, eggy bread coated in everything bagel seasoning that tastes delicious dipped into the soup.

On the menu for dessert are ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. My take on the Chocolate Chip cookie has a few secret ingredients in them and requires a few extra steps during the baking process that make them extremely delicious. Be sure to try them out! ~ Jenny from Jenny Sue Delights

Happy Thursday!

Thank you all for your patience while I was away these past two weeks, I went on a little adventure with my hubby. We had a lovely time and ate some amazing food that I can hopefully incorporate into a new soup in the near future!

On the menu for TUESDAY, MARCH 12th is THAI CHICKEN RAMEN SOUP with ITALIAN SUPERMARKET BREAD. My Thai Chicken Ramen Soup is filled with fresh veggies, tasty bites of chicken and slurp-worthy ramen noodles. It features a creamy and flavorful broth that has a little spicy kick, which makes it the perfect soup to enjoy on a cold, winter evening!

The soup begins by sautéing the chicken, sliced mushrooms, red peppers, fresh ginger and garlic in olive oil. Once the veggies are softened, homemade chicken stock, coconut milk, soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, a little red curry paste and sunflower butter are added. The sunflower butter adds the creaminess and nutty flavor that peanut butter would add, but allows those with nut-allergies to still enjoy the soup.

Once the soup comes to a boil, fresh lime juice, spinach, toasted sesame oil and cilantro finish off the soup. The ramen noodles will be delivered separately, you add them when you heat up your dinner. This prevents the ramen from soaking up all your tasty broth and becoming mushy.

On the menu for dessert are SALTED CARAMEL SNICKERDOODLES. When you bite into this cookie, you’ll have a nutty brown butter flavor (from using my browned butter technique) along with a gooey sweet caramel center. The cookies are still very soft and rolled in cinnamon and sugar. You don’t want to miss trying out this fun spin on a classic cookie!

Happy Thursday!!

Well friends, we have made it here again ... This week marks the 7th anniversary of Soup(er) Delivery. Times have changed since 2017, I remember putting myself out there in February of that year with my first soup offering: Lasagna Soup with what was called Double Protein bread at the time. I sent that email to 15 potential customers and got 3 orders ... big thank you to Erin A, my sister-in-law Liz and my husband Tony ... without those orders who knows where we'd be today.

Fast forward to today and Soup(er) has made over 7,200 deliveries to over 480 customers throughout, and with this upcoming week, it's likely we'll eclipse 6,000 loaves of bread and 225 kegs of soup sold (thank you Tony for that most obscure stat)! I love what I do ... cooking for some of my favorite people in Cincinnati has been a very fun and rewarding experience.

THANK YOU for allowing me into your homes and dinner table every Tuesday evening. Cooking is my love language and to show my love and appreciation for my amazing customers, I'd like to reprise the first soup I made at Soup(er).

On the menu for TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20th is LASAGNA SOUP with ITALIAN HERB BREAD. You get all the flavors of a delicious hearty lasagna in a comforting soup. It’s loaded with Italian sausage, tomatoes, fresh herbs and a melty cheese garnish that takes it over the top.

The soup begins with sautéing Italian sausage, red peppers, onions and garlic in the pot with a little olive oil. Once the sausage is crumbled and veggies are soft, homemade chicken stock, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and spices are added.

After the soup begins to boil, broken lasagna noodles are dropped in. Once the noodles finish cooking, the soup is garnished with fresh basil and parsley as well as a generous dollop of mixed lasagna cheeses that melt perfectly into the hot soup.

The bread companion this week is my ITALIAN HERB BREAD. This delicious bread is filled with garlic, butter and fresh herbs. This bread is a fan favorite and the fresh herbs in it will make a perfect compliment to your soup.

After taking time off after the holidays, I'm so excited to be back baking for all of you. I will be baking as much as I can prior to May, when I am expecting to have my second child. On the menu for dessert is SWEET & SALTY EVERYTHING COOKIE. The cookie dough begins with browned butter - a favorite technique of mine that amplifies cookie flavor to next level deliciousness. Then I add in sea salt, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips and finally - chopped pretzels! These cookies are perfect for anyone that is a fan of sweet and salty food. - Jenny from Jenny Sue Delights

Happy Thursday!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I would recreate the popular menu from last year's Valentine's Day. On the menu for TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13th is ITALIAN WEDDING SOUP and ROSEMARY FOCACCIA. Italian Wedding Soup gets its name from the Italian phrase "minestra maritata" ("married soup"), which refers to the tasty flavor produced by the combination or "marriage" of the greens and the meat.

This rich chicken soup is filled with lots of good things - fresh spinach, creamy pasta and plenty of those delicious meatballs. The soup begins with browning the meatballs in the oven to intensify their flavor. The meatballs are made with ground turkey, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, garlic, fresh parsley, milk, and egg.

Meanwhile, onions, carrots and celery are sautéed in the pot. Once the veggies are soft, homemade chicken stock, white wine and orzo pasta are dropped in. After the pasta is cooked, fresh spinach, dill and lemon zest finish off the soup.

The bread companion this week is my ROSEMARY FOCACCIA. It's crisp on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. Extra-virgin olive oil gives the bread texture and flavor while fresh rosemary and flaked sea salt add the finishing touches to make this bread unbelievably delicious. This bread is a perfect choice for this Italian soup!

Happy Thursday :-)

On the menu for TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6th is MOROCCAN SWEET POTATO LENTIL SOUP and MULTI-SEED BREAD. This delicious soup is filled with veggies, nutrient-rich lentils and tons of flavorful spices.

The soup begins with sauteing diced sweet potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, red peppers and garlic in olive oil. The spices, which include cumin, curry powder, coriander, paprika, turmeric and cinnamon, are added to toast and add a richer, fuller taste to the soup.

Next, homemade chicken stock and lentils are added. Lentils add essential vitamins and minerals to your diet and are a great meat replacement as they are loaded with protein. The soup is finished with fresh baby spinach, a sq**rt or two of lemon juice and fresh herbs.

My bread companion this week is my MULTI-SEED BREAD. This delicious bread is dark, slightly sweet and has a satisfying crunch from the multi-seed topping. Not only is it fantastic fresh from the oven, if you can save some for breakfast it makes the best toast!!

Happy Thursday!

On the menu for TUESDAY, JANUARY 30th is MEXICAN MEATBALL SOUP with ROASTED RED PEPPER. Mexican Meatball Soup, known as Albondigas Soup, is a traditional soup made with juicy, herb infused meatballs, loaded with veggies, and simmered in a bold, aromatic tomato broth.

The soup begins with assembling the meatballs, which are made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg and tons of spices. They are baked in the oven to intensify their flavor. Meanwhile, onions, diced carrots and zucchini are sauteed in olive oil in the pot.

Next, homemade chicken stock, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices are added. Once the soup comes to a boil, the meatballs, black beans, and corn are dropped in. After the soup simmers, it's garnished with fresh cilantro.

The bread companion this week is my Roasted Red Pepper Bread. This bread is beautifully braided and blends together the sweetness of roasted red peppers with a little spiciness from a healthy dose of black pepper. It tastes great with this soup and is also delicious for breakfast toasted with a fried egg on top the next morning.

Happy Thursday!!

In my last update, I talked about how much I enjoyed spending my winter break cooking and baking for my family. At one point, while we were on vacation we had a very full house and I needed to feed a large, hungry crowd. And since I didn't have my trusted recipes with me, I experimented with a new soup.

And the soup was perfect .... Hearty, delicious, and came together quickly. In fact, my younger son woke up the next day and was quite displeased when he found out our guests had finished off "his" soup. I promised him I would make it again soon, so I decided to make it for you as well!!

On the menu for TUESDAY, JANUARY 23rd is my NEW WHITE CHICKEN CHILI and GREEN CHILE CHEESE BREAD. This flavorful chili is made with hearty beans, tender chicken, and a rich and creamy broth. What I love about this recipe is that it doesn't include any added dairy to thicken the broth, rather we mash some of the beans to get a similar texture. This delicious soup along with the green chile cheese bread will make for a super satisfying dinner!

The soup begins with sauteing onions and jalapeno in olive oil. Once softened, garlic, oregano, cumin and paprika are added and cooked until fragrant. Next, homemade chicken stock, white beans, and diced green chiles are added and the soup simmers for a few minutes.

The pot is then taken off the heat and we mash some of the beans to thicken the broth. Afterwards, the pot is returned to the stove and shredded chicken and corn are dropped in. The soup is garnished with fresh lime juice, cilantro, and tortilla strips.

The bread companion this week is my Green Chile Cheese Bread. We introduced this tasty bread last fall and it's a perfect compliment to this soup!!

And one quick housekeeping item, pickup orders will now be until 5:30 PM. I can make accommodations as needed, just let me know and we'll figure it out.

Happy New Year!!

I hope all of you had a great winter break, thank you for letting me take an extra long one to spend with my family. I always feel that my heart is at its fullest when all my people are home, especially when I'm cooking & baking for them!!

On the menu for TUESDAY, JANUARY 16th is MUSHROOM BEEF BARLEY SOUP with ITALIAN SUPERMARKET BREAD. This flavorful soup is filled with mushrooms, barley and slow cooked beef that will melt in your mouth; it's pure comfort food in a bowl! Normally we end the year with this soup, but we ran out of time so I thought we'd kick off the new year with this delicious soup.

The soup begins with cooking a little bit of bacon in the pot ... just enough to start the soup off right . Once the bacon is crispy, the beef is added and seared to enhance its flavor. Next, carrots, onions, celery, garlic and mushrooms are added.

Once softened, fresh thyme, smoked paprika, and reconstituted dried mushrooms are added along with homemade chicken stock, balsamic vinegar and Worcestershire sauce and brought to a boil. The soup simmers for a few hours, until the meat is fork tender. Pearled barley is added towards the end of cooking to add a chewy bite and it's garnished with fresh parsley.

Jenny Sue Delights will be taking January off, she'll be back in February with some tasty treats for all of us to enjoy.

And one quick housekeeping item, pickup orders will now be until 5:30 PM. I can make accommodations as needed, just let me know and we'll figure it out.

If needed, I can supply a disposable container for a small fee (select on the order form). My address is 8636 Monte Drive, located in the swaim field neighborhood. 3. SUBMIT: Click on link in email that takes you to my shared google drive, which contains the order form. Submit by noon on Saturday. 4. PAY: I will take cash, check (Dana Pishotti), or CASH app (text to my cell 5139105526). 5. EAT & ENJOY

Odds n’ ends … · If you forget to place your order by Saturday, don’t worry…we all forget things. I will do my best to accommodate any late requests. · Also, let me know if you have any special food requests/requirements. Between food allergies, diabetes, and picky children … I have experience working around many dietary needs. · Thank you for letting me serve you and your family, if there are any questions or comments … please don’t hesitate to contact me.
