I Owe You An Apology, By Michael Baisden

Sometimes we get so use to seeing life from our perspective that we forget that our normal isn’t everyone else’s.

For years I’ve promoting Transparency believing that adults actually evolve into honest people…but I was wrong…and I apologize for being so naive.

I also promoted open and Poly relationships thinking that people would prefer to be honest about having s*x with other people…but again I was wrong…and I apologize.

How in the hell can you expect people who can’t cultivate one healthy relationship to manage two or more? I feel so stupid even bringing up the subject!! Ugghh

And lastly I want to apologize for assuming that grown ass men and women know how to communicate honestly about what they want and who they really are!

The truth is people prefer lies, they don’t care about the other persons needs, and people approach you not even knowing what the f**k they want!

I have finally learned that I’m not anywhere near the norm, and neither are many of you… that is, if you’re honest, are an effective communicator, and have emotional intelligence.

I’m so sorry for not taking men and women’s real life experiences into account! And that truth is that’s it’s pretty messed up out here in these streets.

And while I’ll always be optimistic I must do a better job of understanding the level of disappointment and trauma that others are experiencing all because people CAN’T be transparent!

People start by lying to themselves about being “good people” which makes it easier for them to lie to you!

It took me a while to understand all the foolishness and crap you guys have to put up with, even into your 50’s and 60’s…but I get it now! And again, I apologize!

A man in my position of influence has to do better…and I will! Thanks for the lesson! ~ Michael Baisden
