Need a safe and fun activity to get your kids out of the house this winter? I'm teaching almost every day for the next couple of months at Moorestown Parks and Recreation. Series and one day classes available to 2nd- 7th graders. We keep our masks on except for socially distanced sampling. To all of my local and loyal clients that I’ve served over the years, it’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce this... I’ve decided that it’s my responsibility to society to suspend group cooking classes until further notice because social distancing can not be safely conducted during hands on lessons. All of my classes at Moorestown Parks and Recreation are shut down until further notice and same goes for private/ in home classes and birthday parties. If you’d like to show support for my small business at this time then drop a comment and I will make sure you get summer camp sign up details later this week. Had so much fun serving biscuity goodness to all of the fine people at Perkins Center for the Arts’ Handcrafted Event. As many of you know I have two passions: teaching and cooking. I got to represent both of my loves on Saturday: my kids cooking and baking programs at Moorestown Parks and Recreation, as well as my catering business- Saving Thyme. Biscuits are made frequently in my kid’s baking classes and when I cater I tend to be seasonally inspired. So when Kahra Buss asked me to serve up some food I knew I had to bring something fun. Our two biscuit bites were: hot fried chicken, pea shoot dill slaw, and pickled chive blossoms and a violet jelly with honey blossom butter.
