5. Reuse containers

And we give back 1% to the Planet.

Loving my new commute to work!
Here is some wedding day advice, while I "commute" to our new floral studio I built in my backyard.

1. Stay hydrated! On your wedding day, make sure to drink lots of water. It's a long day and especially if you consume "adult beverages", it's important to drink lots of water to keep your energy up through the whole day.

2. Wear (or bring) comfortable shoes. It's not surprising to see couples get married in sneakers or boots, but if you choose to wear dress shoes or heels, make sure to have an extra pair of comfy shoes to change into.

3. Plan Breakfast and Lunch. Similar to drinking water, plan to eat whenever something is offered and make sure you have food during "getting ready" time. Pre-order sandwich platters & have someone pick them up. Make sure both you and your partner make a plan for meals during the day.

4. Live in the moment! There is nothing comparable to your wedding day. It's such a special memory once it's in the past. So make sure that you have your timeline all planned out with every detail so you can enjoy every moment of your big day! (A planner/coordinator can make sure it all happens as intended!)

"I don't like roses!" is what this bride said to me when discussing her floral design. She wanted seasonal wildflowers sourced from local flower farms. "Absolutely!" we replied, and created a design less focused on specific flowers and more focused on what was growing in Early September.

We made different centerpiece styles - table gardens (no visible container) and bud vase centerpieces (love our extensive bud vase collection). We attached flower buds to the welcome sign and put vases inside the card box.

The couple was so thrilled with how everything came together!

This design really pulled a garden-y vibe and we are so here for it!

What should be the RSVP date on your wedding invitation?

6 weeks before your wedding!

We advise setting your RSVP date for 6 weeks before your wedding. Why? Because many vendors need your final headcount within 1 month of your wedding. This includes your venue, caterer, bar, florist, rentals & wedding planner/coordinator. We want you to have 2 weeks from your RSVP date to follow up with the guests who havent responded so you can have an accurate head count on time (no surprises). We also want you to have enough time to put together your guest's seating assignments so we can get that seating chart in order.

There are still plenty of things to do after figuring out your final guest count - so give yourself time.

Wanna see some Baby's breath clouds at Camelot Meadows.

Designing this wedding was so fun! The couple requested all the baby's breath with white roses. We made baby's breath runners for the long tables, we attached it to the top of gold metal stands for the round tables, a large floor garden for the sweetheart table and we made a statement piece - large 5ftx3ft hanging baby's breath cloud ceiling installation for their cocktail hour.

1. Choose your preferred Season- Talk to your fiance about whether you want to get married in the Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. We advise being less specific to the month and choosing the Season you want to get married, then choose your date once you find out what is available at the venue you select.

2. Decide what location you want - ie: Charlotte, Asheville, the Mountains, Destination - Are you getting married locally? Do you want your wedding backdrop to include the city, country, mountains, or beach? Do you want everyone to travel to a destination?

3. Come up with a budget - Knowing how much you can afford to spend is critical to successfully planning your wedding. Talk to your fiance and anyone else who will be contributing to the cost of your wedding.

4. Create your guest list - The guest list directly impacts the cost of the wedding. The more guests, the more expensive. Write out a list of names you plan to invite and your goal head count. This will be important when choosing your venue to ensure the space can accommodate your guests.
