SUMMER STUDENT FEATURE:

Kiley Snobeck worked this summer as the development intern at Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, Connecticut! In her position, Kiley planned and executed special events, worked with donors, and fundraised. Additionally, she assisted with house management.

When asked about her work, Kiley said “I’ve had so many amazing opportunities this summer including planning cocktail parties, house managing for The Bacon Brothers, meeting Tony Kushner, learning about the Tessitura software, and traveling into New York at any chance I get! I even ran into on the street!”

SUMMER STUDENT FEATURE:

Megan Gunnerson worked this summer at FMCT as the week-long and main stage production teacher and director and starred in Cats at Stage West as Jellylorum.

In Cats, Megan and had the opportunity to sing and dance with local actors and to experience the magic of Cats, which she says “has now become one of my favorite shows I’ve ever done!”

For the week-long FMCT camps, Megan got to work with young actors to create short scripts to learn and perform at the end of the week, while also teaching them other theatre skills. She is now working as one of three cast directors for their production of The Wizard of Oz: Young Performers’s Edition.

Megan says “it’s been so much fun and wonderful to work with such talented and eager young actors over the course of six weeks in a space where I can also learn and experiment as a director.”

SUMMER ALUM FEATURE:

Liv Meinders is currently working at Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, Utah as a Stage Management Production Assistant. The three shows she has been working on are the regional premiere of Disney’s Frozen, Anastasia, and Jersey Boys. As a PA, Liv is involved in rehearsals and running the backstage during shows.

When asked about her work, Liv said “Working in an outdoor venue brings a set of unique challenges and this is also my first time doing rep theater and it’s been fun getting to work on and run three shows at the same time!”
