Trollwood Performing Arts School, located at Bluestem Center for the Arts, is a unique arts organization committed to providing high quality arts education, exceptional community entertainment, and serves as a community events and exposition center. Trollwood serves as the managing arm for Bluestem Center for the Arts, a world-class facility headquartered in Moorhead, MN. The campus includes river
views, grassy meadows, woods and wildlife, outdoor stages, a 2,500-seat amphitheatre, and the beautiful Marcil Commons which serves as an educational center and rental space including warm, knotty pine rooms with beautiful park views. Trollwood Performing Arts School's youth programs are committed to providing high quality performing arts education and exceptional community entertainment. Since 1978, thousands of young people have spent their summers learning, growing, and making friends at Trollwood. Trollwood offers nine annual arts education, youth leadership and performance programs. The school deliberately incorporates the outdoors because it is our belief that a connection to the natural environment fosters creativity, self-discovery, and an understanding of a healthy way of being alive. With nature as a model, students gain a better appreciation of the value of diversity, adaptability, cooperation, and interdependence. As a program of the Fargo Public Schools, Trollwood is accredited through the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.

Everybody associated with the Mainstage Musical, including cast, crew, orchestra, parents, volunteers, and more, was invited to the The Addams Family Production Party last night. They enjoyed an awards ceremony, a recognition of the seniors, a number of moving speeches, a gut-busting hilarious Parents Skit, and enjoyed each others' company one final time.
Congratulations to the company of the Totally Trollwood Musical production of Matilda Jr. on an absolutely astonishing run! The show was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the cast, crew, creative team, families, volunteers and every single person involved in the program!
There were two sections of Grades 3-4 students here at Trollwood for the final week of ArtSpark last week. One of the classes, taught by Rachel Gillen and Kaitlyn Baymen, with assistant Kasen Sanders, looked to the sky as they performed My Place in Space. The other class, taught by Kyle Berkley and Kate Folkestad, with assistant Cora Clark, took the field during their performance of GOAL!

Trollwood's elementary schoolers finished the summer with a bang as the young students joined us on the Trollwood campus last week for the final week of ArtSpark. There were two classes of Grades K-2 students last week. One class, taught by Madi Goerig and April Aamold, performed Today I Feel Silly. The other, taught by Hannah Swanson and Dan Glaser performed It's Easy Being Green.

For those concerned about getting their Thursday or Friday Addams Family tickets rebooked, there is plenty of capacity for the Saturday performance. Reserved seats for Saturday will not be on sale to the general public until we have rebooked all of our reserved ticket holders from Thursday and Friday. However, general admission tickets for Saturday are still available.
While we do not currently plan to add any performances of The Addams Family, should the Saturday performance be canceled for any reason, we will add a performance on Sunday.
Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel performances of The Addams Family for tonight, Thursday, July 25 and tomorrow, Friday, July 26 due to very high wind speeds in the forecast. These high winds forecasted by the National Weather Service pose a significant threat to our students and staff. If you have any questions, call our Box Office at 218-477-6502 after 10 a.m. and they will be happy to help you.
Due to the inevitability of the weather forecast, the decision was made to cancel both performances now. This will give ticket holders for both the Thursday and Friday performances the best opportunity to rebook a seat for the one remaining performance on Saturday, July 27. If you are a ticket holder for the Thursday or Friday performance, you will receive an email with instructions on how to rebook your ticket.
At this time, we do not plan to add any additional performances of The Addams Family and will have one remaining performance on Saturday, July 27.
