When the bougainvillea is in bloom you know it’s going to be a beautiful day. I will never get over the pearls covering Veronica’s dress, it was a major show stopper! Six months ago, we became husband and wife.

On Sunday, 9.24.23, we shared a day that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I love that 6 months is exactly on a Sunday on the 24th ✨

While some may describe marriage as “hard,” I believe they’re referring to the merging of two distinct individuals with differing perspectives. Despite these differences, I view marriage as a blessing, a mirror reflecting growth, and a beautiful new journey worth embracing.

From the moment we got engaged, we envisioned a wedding that reflected the essence of who we are.

We secured our dream outdoor venue, which resembled paradise and our love for the outdoors 🌴

The pastor who married us, dedicated weeks to mentor us during premarital counseling, which added an extra touch of significance, spiritual and personal growth to our ceremony. Embracing my husband’s Nigerian Igbo culture was an important part of our celebration. Yes, we had a Nigerian money dance and it was FUN💰💵

Our DJ curated a playlist blending Nigerian, Latin, and American music, embodying the mix of our cultures. We loved seeing all of our friends and family on the dance floor!

It was a day of pure joy, cultural richness, and a celebration of love.

I would say “I do” to you over and over again, 🫶🏼

2.4.2024 Our 8 year anniversary together & the day I got to marry my best friend, lover and soulmate 🌹

As many of you know I was planning my wedding for the last 4 months and it was crazy! But let me tell you something— Although I loved the idea of being married, I was not looking forward to having a wedding 🫢 Mainly because I don’t like to be the center of attention or PDA 🤣 but I did it for my family and because I wanted to go through the motions of having a wedding.

I’ve been really enjoying stepping out of my comfort zone lately. This experience has been exciting, fun, scary and stressful all at once.

I’ve never given weddings much thought before so planning my wedding made me realize how special it actually is to have one! All the things you have to do to prepare for a wedding like making your invite lists, choosing the venue, the music, our first dance, the joining of the family’s, etc. It’s SO VERY SPECIAL and it made my heart 10x bigger when it all came together!

This was the best day of my life and I’m so happy to share it all with you! ❤️❤️❤️
