Participate in the Babe Ruth Sultan of Swat Home Run Derby this Saturday at Kirby Park for your chance to win RailRiders prizes! ⚾🏆

On October 12, Visit Luzerne County and the City of Wilkes-Barre will present the inaugural Babe Ruth Sultan of Swat Homerun Derby! The event will take in Kirby Park, on the main softball field, near the exact spot where, in 1926, Babe Ruth hit a 650-ft. homerun! It is considered the longest homerun in baseball history! There will be a male and female Derby, with “Sultan of Swat” awards for the furthest homeruns and “Bambino” awards for the most homeruns! There will also be prizes for the winners from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, and Tony Thomas Catering!

Distance will be measured using a Rapsodo 2.0 Pro Device.

All proceeds benefit the Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger.
