There hasn’t been any recent public events for our Little Miss Hinckley, Lola Graber, so here’s a little update. The end of January, Bear Creek Pyrotechnics shot a display at The Lake Superior Ice Festival. Lola, and her entire family, came up to Superior to have a visit with her friends/sponsors. She said she really enjoyed the fireworks! The rest of her winter has been taken up with hockey, and school. She’s a little lady of many talents!

This link https://lakesuperioricefestival.com will take you to the site of the Lake Superior Ice Festival (Superior, WI) being held next Friday and Saturday 1/28 & 1/29. We (Bear Creek Pyrotechnics) have the honor of once again shooting the fireworks display for this event, which will be on Saturday around 6:15 pm. I would highly recommend this event as there are many activities taking place over the two days to help you enjoy the outdoors in the Great White North (especially the fireworks!). Doesn't hurt that the current forecast for Superior next Saturday is currently prognosticated to be 27 degrees above zero!!!

Our Little Miss Hinckley, Lola Graber, was busy last weekend! She took part in Santa Days, in Hinckley. She also joined in bell ringing for The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, also in Hinckley. Judging by the smile as big as all outdoors, it seems like Lola is enjoying herself being a reindeer! Merry Christmas, to Lola and all of the Ambassadors! Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family!

Our Little Miss Hinckley, Lola Graber, joined her fellow Ambassadors selling Dip N Dots at Hinckley’s Rockin’ Ribfest. They were raising money for their program. She’s been a busy young lady!

On 9/11, barring a pop up show, we will be shooting our last show of the season. It’s a very special show, to us, for multiple reasons. Bear Creek Tavern, in Cloverdale, is owned by some good friends Rob and Heather Ladd. They are holding their annual car show. It’s a good car show. Check out their page for details. We are honored to shoot for them, after the car show. As many of you know, when we were kids our parents owned that bar. It was called The Welcome Inn. On the 4th of July, our dad and his brother (Uncle Jim) would shoot fireworks that Uncle Jim bought in North Dakota, from behind the bar. They would blast away, laughing like they were little boys again. We were allowed to watch that up close (I wonder where we got the bug). Tomorrow, their boys will recreate that scene. We’ve talked about this for a very long time. Another reason we’re honored to shoot this show. Last, but certainly not least, it’s been twenty years. Twenty years ago, we were sucker punched. That day we saw the worst humanity has to offer, and the best. The stories of exceptional strength, and heroism, still inspire me. For the people who stepped up on 9/11/01, and the days/weeks/months/years after, we have the honor of shooting the “rockets red glare, and bombs bursting in mid air.” For these reasons, I thank Rob and Heather for sponsoring this show. We hope you all enjoy this show as much as we will enjoy shooting it! “We’ll see you tomorrow night!” 😁
