Registration for Casting for a Cause: Team Bass Fishing Tournament is open!

This new event hosted by the Hickory Police Department will support Special Olympics NC and local Special Olympic athletes.

We are also selling “Casting For A Cause” hats at the Hickory Police Department for $25 each. They come in black/gray or white/gray. All money raised will support Special Olympics NC.

We are out on location at the Hickory Police Department's Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics of North Carolina! It's a beautiful day here at the Hickory Foundation YMCA. Registration has just began and there is still time to make it out. The Plunge happens at 1PM! Come on out and enjoy the weather, fellowship and support a great cause! We look forward to seeing you!

Don't forget tomorrow is the Hickory Police Department's annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics! It will be located at the Hickory YMCA just off Hwy 127. Its suppose to be a beautiful day tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you. $50 to plunge and spectators are welcome! Registration starts @ 11am, Plunge @ 1pm!

Registration will begin at 11 a.m. with the plunge starting at 1 p.m. A minimum donation of $50 is required to participate. Teams of five can also register.

There will also be refreshments, music, and door prizes throughout the day.
