That’s a wrap on the Halloween Spooktacular 2024!!
Saturday was an amazing evening full of so much fun, so much candy, and so many new memories!
We want all the businesses who signed up to pass out candy and all the families that attended with their little ones to know how much we truly appreciate your support.

We hope you all enjoyed some Halloween fun here in the park and if you couldn't make it this year, we hope to see you next year. 🤎

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our concerts, movies, and events this season! We look forward to growing and bringing you even bigger surprises when we return in the Spring on JUNE 6th, 2025 for our kick off to the Ruby Summer Concert Series.

We can’t wait to bask in those warm summer nights and cool sounds with all of you again. In the meantime, be sure to support our local music venues and invite your friends and family to follow us on social media for updates!

As a reminder, the bathroom facilities located along the rail trail have closed for the season along with the park. The restrooms and water fountains are not winterized so unfortunately so they cannot be left open during the winter months.

Join us for an exciting finale to our season at the beautiful Ruby Amphitheater!

We’re wrapping up the Ruby Movie Series with our last two films this evening. Bring your friends, grab some popcorn, wear your Halloween costumes and enjoy the charm of outdoor cinema under the stars. Don’t miss out on this fun night—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

If you have kids, make sure to stop by and join us for our Halloween Spooktactular event from 4-6PM as well. Kids will be able to trick or treat throughout the park then relax and enjoy the kid friendly movie showing.

Tonights movies will feature:
(5 PM) Family Friendly Showing: Coco (PG)
Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer.
(7 PM) Adult-Oriented Showing:The Rocky Horror Picture Show (R)
A newly-engaged couple have a breakdown in an isolated area and must seek shelter at the bizarre residence of Dr. Frank-n-Furter.

It's no trick- just the same beloved tradition! Dress up the entire family and join us in the park this Saturday, October 26th from 4-6PM for our second annual Halloween Spooktacular.

Enjoy the festivities with some of our summer sponsors, local merchants, and community organizations in a safe and festive environment right in the heart of downtown. Afterwards hang around and enjoy our last showing of the Ruby Movie Series as we show Coco starting at 5PM!

Due to this being an outside event, pets are permitted in the park as long as they are well behaved and on a leash at all times.

Get ready, Transylvanians — it’s time for The Rocky Horror Picture Show! This spooky season, join us for an evening screening on Saturday, October 26th at 7PM in the park for the cult classic.

Eager to do The Time Warp? Great! We can’t wait to have you! Never seen it? Throw on your mother’s high heels and fishnets, ’cause you’re in for a treat!

Dressing up is HIGHLY encouraged! Rocky Horror isn’t the same without the corsets and lipstick. Become a part of the movie by shouting out lines with the cast but we ask that all attendees refrain from the use of props. (Our staff who has to clean the park afterwards thanks you) This includes everything listed on the official fan page website.

Get ready for a night of frightful fun at our Halloween Spooktacular on October 26th from 4-6PM!✨
Bring your little ghosts and goblins to trick or treat among 14+ exciting booths filled with treats and surprises.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Stick around for a magical evening as we enjoy a free showing of Coco under the stars and along the river. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween together and to officially close out the season for the Ruby Amphitheater!

We do still have a few additional spots available to pass out candy during this event. All kid friendly organizations are welcome to apply, just send a message to our page!

Looking for something to do this weekend?✨
The WV Wine & Jazz Festival will be going on down in the park on Saturday and Sunday. Admission ($25) includes wine glass, wine tasting (21 and over). Tickets available online or at the door.

What can you expect:
🌞 Plenty of green space to relax and hang out with friends and family
🎷 A variety of jazz performers starting around 11:30am and continuing throughout the evening
🖼 Shopping locally made goods in the Artisan Village

Last chance to submit your application to be a vendor during our Halloween Spooktacular event!
Here's the deal:
Participants must provide their own tables and candy but could decorate them however they like as long as it doesn't encroach on another business's space (10 x 10).

Pedestrian and bicycle traffic on the Caperton Trail will be diverted at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park (Ruby Amphitheater) beginning Friday, September 27th through Monday, September 30th 2024, for the WV Wine & Jazz Festival.

The trail will continue to be open with passage around the parking and depot building areas. There will be crowds of people in these areas on Saturday and Sunday with vendors and food trucks onsite.

Cyclists and pedestrians are advised to expect congestion and asked to walk bikes through the area when there are festival attendees present. The trail will resume normal course on Monday, September 30th.

Wrapping up each season always comes with a mix of emotions. We love being able to provide free and fun entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Every summer is a wild ride, but the awards and community feedback we receive make it all worth it. With that being said......we have some exciting news to announce! ✨ Who will be kicking off the 2025 Ruby Summer Concert Series? One of our fan favorites from the 2023 concert series!

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 With two gold-certified songs like "All That We Needed" and " Every Second Counts" and unshakable anthems such as the double-platinum “1,2,3,4” and platinum “Rhythm of Love” we are expecting a full house at the amphitheater. “Hey There Delilah” went quadruple-platinum, topped the Billboard Hot 100, and earned a pair of 2008 GRAMMY® Award nominations in the categories of “Song of the Year” and “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.”

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 After a remarkable 33-year journey, Diamond Rio bid farewell to a few retiring members signifying a new chapter in their distinguished career with the introduction of two new bandmates. Some of their most well-known tracks include songs like "Meet in the Middle", "One More Day", "Norma Jean Riley" but they are also putting out new songs like their single "The Kick".

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 The Steep Canyon Rangers have several songs that showcase their bluegrass talent and versatility. Some of their most well-known tracks include songs like "Honey on My Tongue", "Call the Captain", "Deep End" and of course, their work with Steve Martin on songs like "You" lended to the perfect combination of bluegrass and comedy.

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 With a career that really took off in the 90's some of their iconic songs like "Out of My Head" (which was sampled by Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello's for their song 'Bad Things'), "Fire Escape" and of course "The Way" which earned them #1 on Modern Rock radio and stayed in the top songs for several weeks.

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 Like most of our cover bands, you can anticipate the Marshall Charloff & Purple Xperience performance to include the songs that made Prince famous. The group has been known to perform songs like "Let's Go Crazy", "1999", “Take Me With You” and more! And of course, would it really be a tribute if “Purple Rain” wasn't on their set list too?

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 Get ready for a night of some good ole' country music. During a HunterGirl concert you can expect her to perform some of her original songs, like "Redbird" and "Tennessee Girl" as well as a few fun covers mixed in from artists like Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert and maybe even some Dolly Parton!

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 You are in for quite a treat! PostModern Jukebox puts a classic spin on songs like "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls, "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor, "What I Like About You" by the Romantics and many many more!

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 The iconic songs and music Journey has made famous over the years! You're sure to recognize songs like "Anyway You Want It" and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)", and of course "Don't Stop Believing". Fan sentiment is clear that lead singer, Bryan Cole has the power, the pipes, and the passion to do the Journey catalogue justice.

What can you expect to hear during this weekends concert? 🎧 In 1979, Mickey joined Jefferson Starship as the lead vocalist, after the departure of Grace Slick and Marty Balin, and recorded a string of hits including “Jane”, “No Way Out”, “Find Your Way Back”, “Stranger”, and “Layin It On The Line”. The group was renamed Starship in 1985 and went on to record three #1 hit songs including “We Built This City”, “Sara”, and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”, from the film Mannequin which also was an Academy Award nominee. Their hit “It’s Not Over Til It’s Over” became Major League Baseball’s theme in 1987.
