Meadow Moutain Catering is mourning the loss of one of our own....Charles James Edward Ghuste...affectionately known to us as CJ. A staff member and friend who became a member of our family. Many of you will recognize him from the many deliveries and event set ups he has handled for us over the years. He was also my dedicated Mac & Cheese tester. CJ had a great laugh and loved to give that signature side look and "Come on now T" whenever I would say something he tbought was cute or even a little bit funny. I can only imagine what he would say when I tell you he was like a most cherished recipe. A little bit worn and torn... but filled with wonderful ingredients (fun and wit, strength, love and loyalty). It was all gently mixed with a side of wild and crazy but had the most excellent result...a crusty exterior with a very tender inside. Bob and I send our love, thoughts and prayers to the Ghuste family and to the veteran community he lived to serve. We love you CJ and know in our hearts that you are now at peace in God's loving arms.

Most memorable event of 2018...Savanna and Jack's "Ramp Feed" wedding reception at Camp Muffly. In more than 25 years of catering this was a first:) What a blast to watch out of town wedding guests enjoying regional specialities (ramps, country ham, pinto beans, and skillet cornbread, etc). The fact that CJ, Jeremiah and Benji helped cook those awesone ramps in the biggest downpour of the summer under a leaking tent just added to the festivities. THANKS to all our 2018 couples...we treasure the memories of your special day and wish you a lifetime of happinesss.

Ready for the oven...Can you guess how many pans of our Gourmet to Go Baked Macaroni and Cheese and Salads it takes to feed hungry grads and their guests??? HINT...A Lot...over 30 gal of milk and cream and so much cheese I lost count. Each order was prepared with love keeping in mind the special celebration we will be a part of. Congratulations to all the graduates and their families!
