SLO GRRRL is a collective of DJs, musicians and artists who provide musical entertainment services in www.slogrrrl.com
(1)
SLOGRRRL was formed in 2017 as a women's music network dedicated to finding and networking with female musicians, DJs, and artists on the Central Coast and showcasing their artistry. The GRRRL in SLOGrrrl is inspired by the international Riot GRRRL movement which encourages women to be fearless in their artistic pursuits to play music with equal opportunity in the male-dominated music industry.
We are a grassroots organization who share ideas, network talent, and mentor women of all ages who are interested in playing music. We provide encouragement, resources, and referrals for women interested in getting involved in playing music. We work with our local community as a collective, building up and accelerating each other's careers. Some of our members volunteer their services or a portion of their profits to help fund-raise for local non-profit agencies. Most are available to book club nights, private parties, weddings, special events, karaoke parties, festivals, and tours. If you are interested in becoming part of the collective or booking our services, we'd love to hear from you. Call or text 805-503-0170 or reach out via email at [email protected].

SLO GRRRL is music collective of DJs, musicians and artists who provide entertainment services in San Luis Obispo California. Our collective was created in 2017 as a women's music network dedicated to finding and networking with female musicians, DJs and artists on the Central Coast and showcasing their talent.
Our DJs and musicians come from a variety of musical backgrounds and each specialize in their own genres of music. From folk to pop to punk, we can help you find the right music for your event. We specialize in providing DJs and musicians for club nights and special events like festivals, parties and dance nights. We also offer Karaoke services for your venue or special event!
What does GRRRL mean?
THE GRRRL in SLO GRRRL was inspired by the Riot Grrrl movement which encourages women and girls to be fearless in their artistic pursuits to play music. We agree with this philosophy and work together as a collective to be positive and active members of the local music and arts community. We mentor and encourage each other by creating opportunities to get out and play music within our local music scene.
Many of our artists have provided music entertainment services for fundraising events and non-profits such as San Luis Obispo RISE, Toys for Tots, Women's March San Luis Obispo, Central Coast GALA and Studios on The Park.
If you are interested in becoming part of the collective or booking our services, we'd love to hear from you. Call or text 805-503-01070 or email [email protected] .
