"The Thunder From Down Under" Kostya Tszyu defended the undisputed junior welterweight championship when Jesse James Leija stayed in his corner after round 6 at the Telstra Superdome in Melbourne, Australia in 2003.

While Tszyu was already popular in his adopted home of Australia, his popularity intensified after defeating Zab Judah and becoming the undisputed champion. After a careful defense against Ben Tackie, Tszyu took his title back home to face veteran "Jesse" James Leija, a former champion looking for another title.

Leija fought a surprisingly effective fight against Tszyu, who started slowly and took a few rounds to get dialed in. In the meanwhile, Leija fought well from a distance and smothered Tszyu inside by clinching. In rounds 3 and 4, Tszyu appeared to slightly catch up and by the 5th, Leija looked to be slowing. Leija hung in there during exchanges, but went to his corner with a cut near his eye after round 6.

While in his corner, it was determined Leija probably had a busted eardrum, and the fight was stopped.

"The Lone Star Cobra" Donald Curry made his third defense of the unified welterweight title with a 4th round TKO of Colin Jones at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England in 1985.

Curry, a very good amateur who seemed a lock to be a great pro, was lined up to face former British and European welterweight champion Jones. Curry was undefeated and a certified star, as well as having the look of an incredible fighter in the ring. Jones skin just had no chance of holding up.

Through two rounds, Curry reddened Jones' face with jabs and had his nose bleeding. And in round 3, a combination from Curry opened a terrible horizontal cut on the bridge of Jones' nose, which suddenly made the situation dire.

In his corner, Jones was told he needed a knockout or the fight would be stopped. When round 4 started, he gave it a shot, but Curry had an easy time and simply landed a few more, prompting the referee to have Jones looked at. The fight was stopped when the extent of the cut was realized and Jones sobbed against the ropes.

British fans initially began throwing objects into the ring, echoing Marvelous Marvin Hagler's treatment after winning the middleweight title in London a few years earlier. Order was restored, however, and Curry celebrated.

Unfortunately for Jones, it signaled the end of a respectable professional career.

"I ripped his nose open with a left uppercut," Curry said. "Then I used my jab to open it wider."

James Toney: “I've been called every name in the book, from genius to has-been. I fought through weight issues, legal troubles, and people saying I was done. But I kept showing up, kept proving them wrong. My career's like a roller coaster, but I enjoyed every ride, especially the comebacks."

Roy Jones Jr: “I went from being untouchable, the best, to a series of losses that made people question everything about me. But I knew my gifts were still there; they were just under layers of doubt, age, and wear. My comeback wasn't just about proving to the world I could still box; it was about proving to myself I could still be Roy Jones Jr."

Some say Jones tarnished his legacy with his many comebacks, I believe he will always remain as one of the sports most electrifying, entertaining pioneers.

What classless trash is this.

KSI just said “I want a big name,” setting up his next fight.. which looks to be ex-footballer 44-year-old Wayne Bridge..

KSI and Bridge came face to face with KSI bringing up Wayne’s ex Vanessa saying “aren’t you the one who let John Terry smash your ex,” then started chanting “Vanessa.. Vanessa..”

Do you remember when KSI used to be funny..

Zero class in this level of ‘boxing.’

Miguel Cotto: “My fight with Antonio Margarito was one of the hardest days of my life, not just because of the defeat but because of the controversy surrounding the wraps. But I came back. I fought Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez, and won titles again. That's not just about boxing; it's about life teaching you that you can rise above the darkest moments."

Deontay Wilder: “I've been through a lot, from doubting myself to being doubted by the world. Losing those titles was hard, but I'm a warrior. I've come back from the edge before. My story isn't finished; it's about showing that you can get back up, no matter how hard you've been hit. That's the spirit of a true fighter."

Sergio Martínez: “I was homeless, living in a car in Spain before I made it as a boxer. People remember the KO losses, the injuries, but they forget the journey. When I beat Paul Williams, after being knocked down, that wasn't just a win; it was a testament to surviving, to coming back from where no one expected you to return."

Andre Ward: "I've been through the fire. From the streets of Oakland to Olympic gold, to being criticized for my fight choices, to personal battles. But every challenge was a lesson. I retired on my terms, undefeated, and now I'm helping others find their way. That's the real win."

In my opinion, Andre Ward isn’t spoken about enough. He was the undisputed light heavyweight champion, won an Olympic gold medal and retired undefeated with a record of 32-0.

Vitali Klitschko: “After my brother Wladimir's loss to Lamon Brewster, I felt the weight of our family name, our country's hopes on my shoulders. I fought through injuries, surgeries, and the naysayers who said I was too old. My comeback and my fight against Lennox Lewis, where I showed I could go the distance even with an injury, that was my statement. It's not just about winning; it's about enduring."

Ricky Hatton: "I've had my struggles with depression and alcohol, and boxing was my escape, but it was also my downfall at times. But coming back, fighting again, and beating it all, winning that battle outside the ring, that's my greatest victory."
