Tomorrow is the first day of school for many MLSD children so here are a few safety reminders regarding sharing these precious milestones online.
• Do not share your child’s school name. All school websites have school addresses so it will not be hard to locate your child’s school.
• Do not share your child’s teachers name. Staff directories are easily accessible online and make finding your child easy.
• Do not share their favorites. A predator can use their “favorites” to gain your child’s trust to groom them.
• Make sure to hide logos of school or locations. Blur out any school information to make sure you aren’t accidentally snapping location identifiers.
