Congratulations to all of the contestants on their hard work and for an absolutely fantastic pageant day!! Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers that helped throughout the day and to the Columbia Basin Rodeo Association members that were there every step of the way! Our pageant could not be what it is without you!

Congratulations to Kyia Hunter-Kanoff, Myles Lee and Marissa Linscott as FFA American Degree recipients,

We would once again like to recognize our American Degree recipients who were recognized on stage this morning at the National FFA Convention! As the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree shows an FFA member’s dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association. It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career.

Age groups are based on the youth's age on October 1, 2023, for this 4-H year.
* Cloverbud: 5 to 7 years old
* Junior: 8 to 10 years old
* Intermediate: 11 to 13 years old
* Senior: 14 to 18 years old

New for 2024 — the state equine presentations, formerly called “National Equine Presentations,” will no longer be held at the 4-H State Fair. This year, the equine presentation contest will be held on February 3, 2024, and will be virtual. More details will come later such as registration information, updated rules, etc.

We wanted to let counties know now about the revised date in order to prepare senior 4-H members at the county level for the state contest. Kim Baker has agreed to be the coordinator for this state contest.
