Kayden Honeycutt wins the 2024 Snowball derby. This is his first super late model win and it’s the biggest race to win! So excited, he threw up on himself! FloRacing broadcast was awesome, clean broadcast viewed from hotel in Saudi Arabia. The commentary more proficient than any NASCAR race I ever watched, highly recommended to follow and watch FloRacing. Clipped photo from their broadcast.

Departed MSP Friday afternoon. Landed Paris Saturday AM, Amsterdam in the midday, just landed Istanbul, one more flight to Saudi arriving Sunday. That’s the timeline reality of international travels.

Clearly I was younger in 2008 the last time I was in Istanbul Turkey. On this day I violated travel rules, violated airport transfer rules, and gave myself a 12 hour layover and talked my way out of the airport for the day to visit the world famous Grand Bazzar. One of many Bond Film locations I have been at. A great memory. Just booked a trip through here again but not enough time to tour. World travel resumes next week. >three million flown miles and counting. Six continents and about 35 countries, most of them, visited more times than I care to count.

Happy Veterans Day. Imagine participating in Atomic testing and never speaking about for 60 years or so. My dad anchored ships and ran scientists to and from as they were setting up instruments for atomic testing in Bikini Atoll. He told no one until he seen it on History Channel five years or so before he left us. That's when called me to tell the story. That's a call I shall never forget.

He said they had told him to forget about and never speak of it, so that' what he did. He later gave me his discharge papers and I researched to prove it true. In spring of this year I completed all paperwork, he is now an Atomic Service Metal recipient. Imagine this life. Born on farm in Plover, great depression, moonshining, wars and no good choices. Tried to join military from the onset, got 4f'd. Then one final try again and the Navy takes you in only to find yourself part of the atomic testing program, part of operation crossroads. And then never speaking of it, just return home and carve out a new life.

Veterans Day -- originally called Armistice Day -- began as an occasion to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country's service. It falls on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I. It is not a day of mourning, but a day of celebration and honor. Therefore, it is not a day of half-staff. Citizens are encouraged to fly POW/MIA flags and flags of the military branches on this day to show support to our Veterans."

He died from cancer, from this radiation albeit at age 89. I discovered last year, he was put on the deck of the L*D to swab the radioactive mess.

My Sons boss of DSD Transport LLC running hot laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway. His working show tractor named had just won top honors there. Word is he topped 100MPH into the banking, note the pace car got passed and had to catch up. This Pete built! Cat swap and all. Been a week and I am still watching these videos over and over.
