Lots of questions on who my event planner was while in the beginning I told myself I could do it ALL by myself & if you know me that’s just how I’ve always been maybe a little too much 🤣 as much as I hate to admit it I definitely couldn’t of done it without Mel and if you just think for a second you don’t need the day of coordinator let me just remind you YOU DO there was so much behind the scenes we will forever be grateful for her & her work ethic 🫶🏻

Things to remember as a coordinator/planner for a wedding are: (only 10 for now)

1. Meet M.O.H & B.M-remind them of their role that day. What a gift!
2. ALL q’s come to planner/coordinator
3. Make eye contact with each vendor & thank them for their hard work
4. Establish relationship with DJ - you have to coordinate ahead of time plus day of extremely well
5. Never show bride & groom plus family your issues, frustrations or lack of encouragement. Be professional.
6. Establish where all things and who all things go to after tear down. Delegate beforehand well
7. Stay the entire time. Do not only delegate but you do the work and stay the entire time until all things are completed and left better than found.
8. Make sure bride & groom are enjoying their big day to the fullest
9. Establish relationship with the wedding party. Their help with both suites and post reception things are so much easier with their help
10. Bring extra pair of socks, shoes & clothing (hygiene items) to change into for event time. You’re representing your business and bride/groom so dress for it.

There’s so many more but the most special one to me is, serve your bride/groom and serve them well.

Planning alongside the bride the entire way, getting to encourage her, watching her vision unfold the day of & getting to be there the entire way in planning is my most enjoyable part of getting to be the wedding planner.

This truly sweet couple is ending this year with a WEDDING!

I am so honored to get to be their wedding planner but my favorite part is getting to work alongside them. The wedding is really going to be beautiful but I’m mostly excited to watch their marriage blossom!
