Baarda Farms and Denise's Design Family Farm and Country Florist shop Drive up a hillside through an open field and feel the country charm.

When you reach the top, you're greeted by our produce and flower shop, Denise's Designs. We work over 25 acres of land, producing fruits, vegetables, honey, eggs, apple cider, and apple cider vinegar. We are a state registered farm and follow state regulations including water testing, serve safe food preperation certificates, and any/all sanitary needs to bring to the public. Using minimal amounts

of sprays & pesticides, our fruits & vegetables may not look pretty, but the aroma and taste quality are 100%. Between tours, the animals, and the flower shop, there is something for everyone at the farm!

So I was going crazy finding what I wanted to put into our township capsule but I narrowed it down to a plaque that my cousin Carolyn made for us and we put onto our mugs… and in this book Chapter 8 not only tells our family story and what we have done but also tells of our own adventures in one of the first “food trucks “ that we traveled around in!
We always had a jump on progress… hence the Veggie Van was born…. Lol
Anyway hopefully when the capsule is opened and hopefully people still read.. it will be a fun look at a orchard farm from Shoemakers handed to new stewards the Baarda’s !
Ps .. great book to read on hobby farms success and failure.

Putting together things to add to our time capsule for our town… my main question… how much can I swear and do I add dirty pictures with black lines through them? Lol

If you have any requests for a veggie you would like us to try,give me a shout…note though we have tried many things that we found that are not “no spray friendly “to our area,and we won’t grow if they need to be sprayed

Hello Upper Mount Bethel: On January 27th at 7pm, the Board of Supervisors Meeting will feature a representative from Met-Ed who will come speak to us about our power outages and what they are doing to help the situation. If you have question for Met-Ed, your questions must be submitted prior to the meeting by messaging me here or sending me an email at [email protected] with your questions. I must receive your questions by Monday, January 20th, 11:59pm ET so Met-Ed can address your questions in their presentation to us on January 27th. The public is invited to attend our January 27th meeting which will be at the Upper Mount Bethel Township Building located at 387 Ye Olde Highway, Mount Bethel, PA 18343.

Mare’s traditional violin solo for Christmas…Becky once again brought us to tears,smiles,laughter and appreciation for what we have ….not how much! Friends bring us joy in so many ways and we are thankful

A wonderful time was had by all….many thanks to all our farm family friends who helped make this 2024 holiday open house a success! Even though Mare was slow on refilling the eggnog …we truly appreciate all the kind words and holiday spirit that you all shared when you walked through the doors!
