Looking for some extra cash? We are looking for part time help in our cart area for early mornings and afternoons. Great for students, retirees or someone just looking some extra cash and free golf. For anyone who loves the history of golf and enjoys the way it was played in simpler times then this weekend should be a great time to come out to Mount Dora Golf Club. December 9 and 10th we will be hosting Society of Hickory Golf tournament. You will see hickory only golf clubs being played the way it used to along with the attire from days gone by. Good time for the golf purest. If you would like to check out some of the old equipment make you way out because this group is happy to show of their golf clubs and share their passion for the game. Groups go off at 11 so spectators are welcome. Hope to see you out.

With our snowbirds returning from the North and many other seasonal residents we wanted to let people know about membership options here at Mount Dora Golf Club. We have winter memberships available along with monthly and of course annual membership. If looking to play some golf this winter and want to save a few bucks our variety of membership programs could be a good idea for you. Feel free to stop by pro shop and we can discuss the options that may work best for you.

For all you looking to play golf on Thanksgiving we will be having modified hours. We will only be taking tee times up to 10 am and carts in by 1:45 so we can have our employees enjoy some Turkey and stuffing with their families and friends. The Tavares Baseball held yearly fundraiser for their team on Saturday here at Mount Dora Golf Club. Great turn out to help support the team. Want to thank all the volunteers who came out to help run raffles,bring out snacks, and help with set up and clean up. Great time had by all!

This Saturday is Veteran’s Day. It is being observed on Friday November 10th. We at Mount Dora Golf Club hold our veteran’s who have served or are currently serving very near and dear to our hearts. As a small token of our appreciation all veterans past and presently serving play for free this Friday November 10th. Just show military ID upon check in. You are welcome to make tee time or just walk in. We thank all our veteran’s and their families for their sacrifices. Please come join us this Friday

November is upon us which means daylight is shorter and holidays are upon us. It is a time when we try to think of others. In keeping with the giving spirit our Mount Dora Women’s Auxiliary group here at Mount Dora has a great program for Lake Cares Food Pantry. Come for a fun event Thursday November 16th at 1:00pm for bingo just ask donate canned goods. If you can’t make the event you can still bring canned goods by pro shop any day to help this great organization. We hope to see you out here supporting this great event.

Calling all women golfers!! For anyone looking to join a fun women’s league Mount Dora Golf Club has a great league for women every Thursday teeing off at 9am. No long term commitment just show up at 8:30 to check in and get set up. All skill levels are welcome and beginners or for the players who are just getting back into the game are heavily encouraged to come out and play. Here we go the 55th Annual Dora Invitational registration is open!! You can come into pro shop and sign up and pay. Limited to first 72 entries. Different flight groups so sign up the one that best fits you skill level. Call the pro shop with any questions. You can also send in entry fee as well. .
