And last (but certainly not least) in our team member introductions - Meet Jessica Melhorn! 👋🏼

Hello! My name is Jessica Melhorn. My husband, Allory, and I are the co-owners of Melhorn Manor. One crazy day back in August 2016, Allory (my boyfriend at the time), came to me and asked if I wanted to own my own wedding venue. I looked at him in shock and disbelief that he wanted to own and operate a wedding venue, but in one short year, the dream became our reality! Allory proposed on December 17, 2016. We started our business and renovated the property in the spring and summer of 2017, and then opened our doors on September 30, 2017…our wedding day!
I was born in Ithaca, New York. My family moved back to Pennsylvania and I grew up in the Reading area, graduating from Wilson High School in 2004. I played soccer and volleyball while in school, and you could always find me at our home football games and men’s volleyball games cheering on the Bulldogs! After high school, I received my Elementary and Special Education teaching degree from Millersville University, graduating in 2009. I have worked for over fourteen years in the service industry as a server and bartender, as well as ten years in the field of education. You can also find me in the church nursery loving on babies every Sunday morning at the LCBC Manheim Campus.
I absolutely love helping and blessing others any chance I can get! I personally meet with all couples three months and one month out from their special day to help coordinate and answer any questions they have. I love getting to know our couples and helping them plan and ease the stress along the way. I also orchestrate all ceremony rehearsals and can be found coordinating and assisting wherever needed on the day of to assure all details go exactly as planned. I do everything I can to ensure each couple’s special day is perfect, stress-free, and full of love! I can’t wait to meet you and help you plan your dream wedding!

Today’s team member needs no introduction (but we’re going to do it anyway) - Meet Allory Melhorn! 👏🏼
•
Hi! My name is Allory Melhorn, and I am the fourth-generation co-owner of Melhorn Manor with my wife, Jessica Melhorn. The farm on which Melhorn Manor is located has been in my family since 1919, when the property was originally owned by my great-grandfather, Christian Arthur Melhorn. The Melhorns are deeply rooted in Mount Joy and have played a very large role in shaping the town into what it is today!
I was born and raised right here in Mount Joy. I went to Kraybill Mennonite School for K-8, then graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 2009. After graduating from LMH, I went to Universal Technical Institute in Exton, PA. Then, I finally graduated from UTI’s Phoenix, Arizona location with a degree in Diesel Technology in 2011. After graduating from UTI, I was the shop manager for my father and mother at their poultry hauling company, Melhorn Sales, Service & Trucking Co.
In December of 2013, my father passed away. Little did I know this would be the beginning of the creation of Melhorn Manor. I met Jess in 2014 and we got engaged in December 2016. We purchased the property from my mother in the Spring of 2017. After performing ten months of renovations to the property, Jess and I were the first couple to get married at Melhorn Manor!
It has always been a dream of mine to go into business myself, and I am so thankful for the opportunity! During the weekdays, you can find me meeting new couples and giving tours of the property, handling social media posts and marketing for our business, overseeing projects around the venue, and traveling to local businesses to pick up and return rental items for weekend events. On wedding and event days, you can find me overseeing each event to create a stress-free and seamless experience. I have a huge passion for helping others and planning their special day! It brings me so much joy to watch others enjoy our property. I cannot wait to meet and assist you in planning one of the biggest milestones of your life!

Hi, my name is Brooke Kreider. I am a wife, a mom, and an event helper at Melhorn Manor. With two boys at home, each day is unique, and a day at The Manor is no different. I take pride in the various roles I have for each wedding and event.
On the weekends, you will see me walking around the property working on behind-the-scenes details for the day’s event, but you can also find me behind the bar serving drinks from time to time. I enjoy helping people create their perfect wedding or event memories and do everything I can to make the day go as smooth as possible.
I can’t wait to meet you, while helping make sure that you have the event you dreamed of and memories that will last a lifetime!

Hello, my name is Tanya Spiece. I’m a wife and proud mother to three lovely girls. My journey into the wedding industry began as a Melhorn Manor bride in 2020! Being married at The Manor ignited the passion I have for event planning and especially the fondness I have for weddings. Here at Melhorn, I take on a few different roles, like setting up the venue spaces for special occasions and weddings, as well as working as a wedding assistant and day of coordinator. You can also catch me behind the bar serving our guests and making sure that our beverage services run smoothly.
My experiences as a Melhorn bride and now employee bring me valuable insight into the complexities and emotions that surround a wedding day. I strive to bring that understanding to every event I participate in, and I aim to make it as seamless and enjoyable for the guests as I do for the couple.
Outside of my professional commitments, I enjoy getting away to our family cabin, where I disconnect from the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life. I cherish the days I get to spend with my loving family and two very busy and sleepy French Bulldogs.
Working weddings and events brings me immense joy. I find great fulfillment in supporting each couple and witnessing the transformation of the venue as the couple’s decorations and visions come to life, as well as being part of the special day. Each event is a unique experience, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. I am honored to be a part of the team that contributes to its success.

Hello! My name is Maddie Smolin. I am a mom, fiancée, and lover of all things weddings! I have always had a passion for the wedding and event industry. There is something so special about having the opportunity to work with people on one of the biggest days of their lives! When I am not working, I love spending time outdoors doing things like hiking with my dog and kayaking.
When I am at work, I take on various roles with the Melhorn team. I spend a portion of my time maintaining the grounds of the venue to ensure everything is picture perfect for your big day. I can also be seen helping set up for events, as well as working at weddings performing the behind-the-scenes details that ensure your day runs smoothly.
My absolute favorite thing about working in the wedding industry is seeing how each couple creates a unique experience for their guests that really showcases their personalities. The creative possibilities are endless! It is an honor to be a member of such an incredible team here at Melhorn Manor!

Hello, my name is Bryan. I’ve been involved in the wedding industry since 2009 when I began photographing weddings along with my wife. I’m an avid drone enthusiast and adventure traveler. To-date, my favorite destination has been Iceland.
At Melhorn, I bring my experience with wedding days to ensure our Melhorn couples have an amazing experience. I primarily work behind the scenes with set up, tear down, and making sure your day runs smoothly. Your guests will first see me when they arrive, as I help them park and navigate the property. If any guests require a lift in the elevator, I am happy to assist them!
