I'm about to state what will probably be an unpopular opinion....
I'm tired of white and green wedding flowers. There. I said it. This might be a polarizing thing. This might make me lose some potential clients. But before you run, let me just explain what's in my head really quick.
Before I get too far into this:
*Disclaimer: If you're already one of my "whites and greens" brides - know that I'm not talking about you, I'm just making a general statement. I love you. I love your designs and choices. And I commit to making your wedding flowers beautiful and unique, as always.
Back to my thought:I love all flowers. I do love the white and greenery. But honestly, I'd say that about 70% of the brides who have come to me recently have requested "whites and greens." And I know it's "elegant", "simple, " and "classic." I agree with all that. All white wedding florals can be gorgeous. But lately, it, to me, has felt impersonal and "trendy." Maybe I'm reading more into this than I should, but it feels like some colors are used to impress or show off a certain style that does not mimic the personality and style of the couple.
Friend, if you're struggling with what to do for your wedding day, remember, this day is for you and the groom. No one else. Let it be a reflection of y'all.
•If y'all are a classy, elegant black tux and white dress and bouquet of white roses kind of people, let's do it.
•If y'all met at UT and had your first kiss at sunrise/sunset, let's go for some yellows and oranges and pinks!
•Heck, maybe you just want to do monochromatic and ombre shades of purples because it's his favorite color. Let's do it.
Whatever you decide, do it for YOU and YOUR wedding. Not for "the 'gram," your future mother-in-law, or whoever else is whispering in your ear. And I'm here for you to help you every step of the way. Whites and greens, or any other color you can think of!
