As our season comes to a close, it's time for a little "employee" recognition. If you've shared your special day with us here at Fritz Farm, or you will in the coming years, you are bound to know this special man. My dad. Chuck Fritz- "the man, the myth, the legend". You've probably seen him directing traffic, picking up trash, or talking your ear off. I don't think he ever imagined he'd have hundreds of strangers on his lawn every weekend or have his dining table overtaken with flowers and cakes. To call him a supportive father would be a grave understatement. I unequivocally could. not. do. this. without. him. Not only could I not mow 22 miles worth of yard, but I wouldn't have had the strength and courage to quit my job, finish grad school, and start my very own business. I say all that to say this: Thanks Dad...for everything. Cheers to next season!

PSA: TLDR - Please respect my home and my time off.

A quick rant for just a moment if you will...
This is not just a wedding venue, this is my home. I LOVE sharing my favorite place in the entire world with you and your family to host your special day. I love, love, LOVE it! I also understand how you are excited to show off your venue and want to just "swing by" to show grandma where it will all happen. However, this is my HOME. We have pets and children and very little time off three seasons out of the year. We have scheduled tour times for a reason. When you drive up unannounced to show so-and-so around, my young children are likely playing in our (1/4 mile) driveway. One of our dogs was run over and killed (in our driveway) when someone was driving up "just to look around". The picture posted was etched into our outdoor furniture after we caught teenagers setting napkins on fire and told them to stop at our last wedding. Our orchard string lights were also broken at this particular wedding because unattended children were throwing apples at the bulbs. After we told them to stop and walked away, they threw apples at our house...... We often become very close to our couples and not all weddings are like this - but too many are. This may be your wedding day but this is other people's wedding venue too, my dream and passion, my livelihood. Most importantly, this is my HOME.

Confession: I am absolutely spoiled. Shocker- I know.
All three of my parents came out to the farm today to help me dig, plant, drag, gravel, get ready for this season in our new garden space. I can’t begin to describe the love and appreciation I have for them for everything they do to help me achieve this dream. This moment, working in harmony, happily, made my heart smile 😊
