Most of the time I get the same expected requests. Butterflies, spiderman, unicorns, etc. But I had two unique requests at a birthday party recently.
#1: A cow. But not to look like a cow, he wanted a cow painted on him specifically
#2: A demon. I didn’t have anything prior to work from so this is what I quickly came up with, he loved it 😊

Day #2 was full of fun and a LOT of spidermen 😅 (and Spider Gwen’s, and 2 Venoms thrown in). By the 8th Spider-Man I was resigned to being the spider man painter of the day 🤣
I had so much fun meeting everyone! Amazing conversations, great parents, and even cooler kids 💜💙💚

Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival Day #1 (for me) was a huge success! From teens to tweens, kiddos to toddlers, I had the pleasure of painting a plethora of people this afternoon.
I’ll be painting Saturday and Sunday as well, located at 302 W.Orchard Ave, parked on the front porch.
Free face painting awaits for all who dare, but if you’re feeling generous, a tip would be fair!

“Keep still!”
I hear it constantly but hardly ever say it myself. Because kids love their face paint, even if it’s got a wobbly line or a mark that doesn’t belong. And they’re told all the time to be less, talk less cry less wiggle less. So in my chair, you can wiggle, it’s my job to work around it 💜💙💚

The Mom2Mom sale was so much fun!
From my 2 years of doing vendor events, I’ve noticed a lot of “vendor kids” getting brought to these shows on the weekend with their folks and a lot of them don’t get compensated for their time.
So I decided to do something about it!
Any kid who came with their parents to vend for the event received a $1 face paint coupon for any design, that way they got a small break from helping their parents and they could have fun and be a kid for a little while.
I painted more vendor kids than anyone else, and that makes my heart smile 🥰

This Saturday, April 20th, 10-2
Come get your face painted at the Annual Mom2mom Sale at Mt. Pleasant Middle School. Over 100 spaces to shop from. Not only will the mom2mom sale have mom sellers, but vendors to shop from.
Concessions will be available during the event.
Strollers welcomed.
$2 admission fee at the doors and early birds can shop at 9am for $5 admission fee.
