This is a long post but maybe some of you can relate...
Day 26!
Ok, so I've been back on plan since November 6th after a 7 year (😬😬) hiatus. I'll give you my excuses (there's a lot)-
-A divorce.
-Stresses of co-parenting.
-A couple other failed relationships.
-A surgery to fix THIRTEEN hernias in my abdomen (I know, that's a lot. He said my insides are like Swiss cheese)
-Stresses of being a business owner.
-My dad getting diagnosed with cancer.
-My dad dying in my arms from that cancer.
-Having another child.
-Financial stresses from my business struggling these past couple years.
- Basically... just being a grown up and going through the same things that many of you also go through.
But today I hit a milestone! Not a scale victory, but a mindset victory.
I donate plasma twice a week, and tonight I had a cell loss due to a clot in the needle. They stopped the donation early and couldn't give me my blood back. When that happens you have to go sit with the nurse for 20 minutes and drink a Gatorade. She asked me what flavor I wanted and I immediately said "are any of them sugar free?" She said "No, when you have a cell loss you need the carbs." I sat there for the 20 minutes bummed out that I fell off plan for a red Gatorade that didn't even taste good. I started thinking.... well, if I'm already off plan tonight I might as well go eat some spaghetti (my FAVORITE comfort food) and start over tomorrow. But, in all the other short lived weight loss attempts I've made in the past several years, I never make it to the "start over tomorrow" part.
Anyhow, the nurse told me to make sure I ate something before bed since I refused the goldfish crackers. So I got home and started looking around and.....I MADE A CLOUD BREAD SANDWICH INSTEAD OF SPAGHETTI!!!
I know it's kind of an anti-climactic ending to my story, and I also know bologna and American cheese is not the best option... but I feel like it's way better than the spaghetti I wanted. 🍝

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
We're going to be offering complete individual Thanksgiving meals to take the extra work out of the day, allow you to stay on plan, and enjoy time with your family and friends! Each meal will come with roasted turkey breast, sausage and herb stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry relish, a side salad with mandarin oranges, strawberries, jicama, red onion, and strawberry poppyseed dressing, as well as a mini pumpkin pie for dessert! You will be able to pick these up Wednesday the 22nd only.

Good morning! We've been giving this a lot of thought, and we've tried to hold off as long as possible... but unfortunately, the time has come for us to raise prices. We know everyone else is struggling as much as we are, so we're trying to keep it as low as possible. We're adding a quarter to each menu item starting November 12th.
However, we still want to offer our customers a way to save money while simultaneously keeping our ordering and inventory to a minimum. So, also starting November 12th will be a 10% off discount for all website pre-orders! This will help us have a better idea of how much to prepare so we can lower our product waste and labor costs.

The CKM crew is out at Union Grove's Great Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival today from 10am-5pm! 🎃
We're doing some BBQ, but I wanted to let all of our "on plan" friends know that we kept you in mind and have your lean proteins covered!
If you stop by, you can order-
-Smoked chicken wings with Buffalo sauce or plain (appx 1 L per wing)
-1/3 rack Smoked Ribs (ask for the sugar free BBQ sauce - appx 4 L )
