The real joy, though, comes when nothing is perfect anymore—silverware askew, candles dripping, crumbs across the tablecloth, and absolutely no one caring because you’re all laughing too hard to notice.

Designing this space brought back fond memories of all my years in Virginia’s rolling hills, and it was such an honor to weave that inspiration into this fête. We played up traditional hunt country vibes with tweed and velvet and a panoply of rich greens, then wove in airy florals, fluted crystal, and tons of taper light for that “just right” vibe.

We’re all about a playful twist with a touch of practicality, and these custom es**rt card matchboxes nailed that vibe. Wrapped in sage green grasscloth and duplexed in a heavy stock, each were topped with an aged brass engraved nameplate and gilded cartouche. We laid these carefully on a rich hunt-country tweed table topper, adding a touch of masculinity. Dreaming up this concept with was a delight (as always) and we hope you enjoy . . .

This year I brought in beautiful florals from and collaborated with my talented friend to create hand-lasered tortoiseshell tree place cards — a small but special detail guests can take home.

Decking the halls with pink & green (and needlepoint)! Inspired by ’s gorgeous set and our needlepoint ornament collaboration, this unexpected color duo was the perfect choice for a festive holiday tablescape. From the rich raspberry hues to the bamboo flatware and candy napkin ring holders, every detail was a joy to dream up with Coco!
