I really like Baja Hoodies aka Drug Rugs but the hassle of taking them off. So with a little thinking and talking to Donna she came up with the ultimate Drug Rug Jacket.
This is the prototype, I didn't want a zipper but she's going to make her one with a zipper. I told her it looked more like a Drug Rug Sport Jacket.
She's going to start making some if enough people are interested

This is the kind of keychain you carried just for the car (both keys), you didn't carry one for the house as it was never locked.

Been talking to people in Greene, Lawrence and Jasper Counties on Route 66 about our wholesale line. Have gotten real positive reports. Been working on art work last couple of weeks. It's going to be great seeing our products on their shelves and knowing their profit margin is higher than what it is now.

Visiting the Rockwood Motor Court in Springfield MO. The Ferguson's are super nice. The rooms are fantastic, with different themes. Glad to see the come back of Route 66 in the town I was born.

Our trip this week with rain, snow, ice, power lines down and cold. Still able to get a few photo's though. Few inconveniences but nothing that can't be fixed before next trip. Before we got out of Mt Vernon the fender on the trailer came loose (bungee strap fixed that), Four days of no sunlight solar used up batteries (travel in the sun), didn't crack the window one night and got up the next morning the lighter wouldn't light low on oxygen (remember to crack window), missing obstacles in road (trees, power lines, limbs). But we had an adventure and some neat photo's.

We’ve decided to cut short our adventure. Besides snow, rain, down power lines and broken trees because of ice on and over roads the fog wasn’t letting us see stuff. We ate lunch at Lucilles in Weatherford OK (the Mother of the Mother Road). Food was good but our waitress was more interested in the locals than the travelers. We’re old Hippies too. Here’s some more photo’s though.
We are staying in the parking lot of the Free Methodist Church in Midwest City almost the whole town is without electricity.

Sitting in a Walmart parking lot debating with myself to either turn left or right when we pull out. Turn left means further West, turn right means heading towards home.
Heading west might clear up in a week or two.

Well we made it a few more miles, rain, rain and more rain. No electricity from Chandler to part of Oklahoma City. It will probably be remembered as the great ice storm of 2020. The last photo is of Yukon OK same temperature as Yukon Canada today. We are El Reno thinking of back tracking back to Missouri tomorrow. The slush here has turned to ice and it is worse the closer you get to Texas.

Yesterday we traveled through western Missouri, Kansas and eastern Oklahoma. We stopped in Bristol OK for the night. Rain all except 5 miles. Didn’t do a lot of photos, too rainy but here’s a couple from my phone. Haven’t cranked up the computer to pull the ones off the camera.

Heading out on our adventure. Since Donna works in health care had to stop at her work to be tested for COVID. If all good we’ll be on 66 in about 30 minutes heading west. They’ll tell her if we have to be back Thursday or next Monday.

First Official photo of The Roamin' Chapel on Route 66. Took it for a shake down small trip and it was fun, only lost the spare tire off the Chapel right after the photo was taken. Took an hour to find it, loose tires go a long ways.
Here we are at Gay Parita Sinclair Station in Paris Springs MO. What better place for our first Photo.

Working on the Chapel and truck it started bringing back memories from previous trips on Route 66. As a child there wasn't the Interstate but just the Mother Road.
The first 4 lane road I ever saw was just North of St. Roberts MO, and it's still there.
Mickey Owens Baseball School close to Spencer, MO.
Danny Thomas eating at a truck stop just outside of Albatross, MO. Going into the Keystone Hotel in Joplin just to ride a elevator that was operated by my big brother.
One trip to California saw a Jack Rabbit running along side of the road, my big brother who had a beany flipper shot at it. He forgot to roll the window down and shattered the window.
Riding in the back of a Ford Station Wagon all the way and got bored so was showing people behind us everything that was packed in the car. Mom got real mad because we had a big box of napkins in the back, I didn't know what Kotex meant but it said Napkins. I thought it was neat having this big box of Napkins packed.
Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, and many other places.
In California Knox berry Farm, Disneyland (it had just opened), Lindsey Olives. You just put your hand in a 55 gallon barrel and pulled out the Olives and ate them. While there a man asked if I had come clean from Oklahoma? I just looked at him and said I nope I came dirty.
Rode Horses, a bicycle built for 4, ate bear, and beat up my obnoxious cousin even picked oranges off the tree and ate them right there.
In later years drove Route 66 a lot in fact my wife and I spent our Honeymoon on Route 66 and visited Buffalo Ranch.
All good memories, not even gonna mention when I was 2 on a trip my Dad wouldn't stop the car even to go to the bathroom so I used the floor board under his feet. I learned he would stop when I said I had to go.

Picked up the trailer today after having new suspension put on. Pulls great, sits a little higher. Finished painting it and now to load up the Roamin' Chapel on it. Getting closer.

I know I said some photo's would be coming yesterday, I'm sorry. Working on the Roamin' Chapel and had to make a couple of runs to Springfield. Didn't get home till after dark.
Below though is some photo's of the Chapel getting it ready for the road.
Want your opinion on should I leave it the way it is or paint. I plan on fixing around the windows and make them prettier and do a couple more cosmetic things to it.
I messed up by using the pressure washer on it and was set too high. It blew some of the paint off. I think it looks cool like it is an old Chapel but want to hear what you think.
sorry it took three photo's of the front but really I don't care as I like the rust coming off the cross.

Progress is going full speed ahead on the Roamin' Chapel, should be ready to mount on the trailer this weekend. Trailer should be ready tomorrow or Friday, really exited. Photo's will be coming hopefully tomorrow, I'll say tomorrow might be me but I'll post something.

Working on signs for the box truck today. Not done still need to put a little description, websites and pages.
Hopefully get the trailer back this weekend to start loading The Roamin' Chapel up.
In case you can't read the small front sign it says: "Two Old Hippies still Trippin' with each other since 1972".
