Iโm Amy, the Farmers Daughter! No, really! Itโs not just my business name I am a fifth generation farmer in the Skagit Valley! I grew up riding tractors ๐ in potato and wheat fields and showing sheep ๐ in FFA.
I went to @wsupullman for a degree in Agricultural Education and have been a high school teacher for 15 years now. Originally my focus was animal science but I fell in love with horticulture and floral design.
My business officially took off during the COVID shut down. What was once a fun little backyard hobby is now a much larger โprojectโ. I do bouquet subscriptions, custom orders, weddings and special events, sell seeds and tubers, specialty markets and teach design workshops around Skagit, Whatcom and Snohomish counties.

Here in the Pacific Northwest the weather is a little unpredictable. Because of this, I wait until early spring to sell and ship dahlia tubers to ensure they survive winter and will ship safely to you! Local pick up is available by using coupon code โLOCALโ at checkout. Shipping will be done via flat rate boxes through USPS.
All dahlia tubers are sold as a single tuber (with the exception of the Farmers Choice Grab Bag of 5). Tubers are priced at current market value. Each dahlia tuber is inspected before shipping to ensure at least one viable eye is present. Tubers are labeled and cataloged by variety name for clear identification. Basic dahlia planting and care information will be provided via a document with each order.
An item in your cart does NOT guarantee or reserve it. Someone can checkout and purchase that item before you. If an item sells out before you checkout, even if it was in your cart, you will not be able to purchase and it will be removed. Demand is high for dahlias, I recommend preparing ahead of time by previewing the site, making a list of desired items, logging on when the site goes live and checking out as quickly as you can. If you can set up an account or pre-load your PayPal, ApplePay, etc. information ahead of time that can help speed up the process as well.

As a teacher and flower farmer I limit my weddings and special events to allow for time for alllllllll the things. This means more attention to detail, special access to locally grown flowers cut fresh from the field, and direct communication all throughout your planning process.
