Dear Friends,
As many of you are aware, Skye was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, and although any cancer diagnosis is serious, Skye was undergoing intensive treatment, and we were all anticipating a positive response and outcome. Regrettably, Skye developed serious complications this past week, and it is with deep sadness that we need to share with you that Skye has passed away. Although, this is a major loss to his family, our community, and the Celtic Arts Foundation, we plan to carry on our mission “to sponsor, encourage, and promote Celtic Culture through events and educational activities.” Skye would want us to continue to present excellent Celtic programming and honor his legacy at CAF.
Although there will be many challenges during this transition period, we will continue to offer events, concerts, and programs, and ask for your understanding and continued support, while we move forward.
Skye’s family would like to thank everyone in advance for their well-wishes, but ask that you give them some time and space to grieve privately. They will be more ready for calls, texts, visits, etc. in a week or so.
Skye’s family plans to take some time before planning his memorial service. We know many of you will want to be a part of this. Our sense right now is that this won’t be scheduled for a while yet. We’ll share more details as we have them.
Thanks to each of you for being a part of the Celtic Arts Foundation, and for all of your support and friendship with Skye. We will all miss him terribly.
