Valued friends, clients & colleagues: We need your help!

Skagit County is recommending new code that is far more restrictive than neighboring Whatcom and Snohomish counties. This new proposed code will also reduce the number of events that farm venues can host by 50% making it difficult or impossible for farm venues to stay in business. If the proposed code is passed, the changes could go into effect as early as 2025.

Skagit Farm Venues Group is currently working on a counter proposal, and we have launched a website with a petition and info. Please share the flyer below with your contacts.

There will be a Skagit County Planning Meeting on July 25, 2023 at 6pm at the Skagit County Hearing Room (1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, WA 98273) that is open to public attendance and comments. It’s crucial that farm venue owners, event vendors and all supporters attend this meeting and voice our concerns! Decisions on county code changes will be made as a result of this meeting!
