‘Off the grid’ feels almost trendy nowadays but going home and having no access to the outside world is the most amazing reset for my mind and heart. I may need to share more photos but this is just a little peak into where I grew up and the last three weeks in NZ. We can drink the water we swim in and the stars feel endless. I miss it already.

The energy of the last few minutes of this game got to us all. In fact, my almost 2 year old has been yelling, ‘DEEEEE AWK!’ around the house ever since Sunday. 😂 His first game did not disappoint. Adding a photo of his sweet face at the end because it’s my favorite photo of the day :)

This was a week that on multiple occasions I felt overwhelmed with gratitude. My family, my job, my health, my security - so so much to be amazed at. Working on thanksgiving meant dragging myself up and down the sidelines with a belly full of turkey and pea can pie... 😂 but again - gratitude for a job I love.

First day of fall makes me feel like it is allowed to be football season now. I just can’t quite get on board with sunny football games. 😂 so incredibly pumped for this season, this stadium and these dancers! I love my job.

And now for the INCREDIBLE details of this wedding!
grew their own flowers, handmade all the bowls (that were the guests to take home), designed their own decor and served each guest the amazing soup that they made themselves. The table promoted togetherness in such a special way which was such a reflection of who these two men are. Just amazingness all around.

So fun to see some of these images printed in this morning!

When authenticity meets incredibly artistry and a love worth celebrating a million times over… this wedding gave me severe fomo as I ran around trying to capture all the incredible details and community and the gorgeous grooms who were very busy taking care of any person who had a need. To say it was a privilege to capture this wedding feels too cliche as well an understatement. Witnessing the love shared by and is the kind of experience that changes you for the better and makes you want to be a more radiant version of yourself.

Growing up in New Zealand I spent so much time laying in the grass staring at the sky. Finding pictures in the clouds and trying to count the insanely vast blanket of stars. It wasn’t until I spent time capturing this gorgeous family on their little farm that I realized I hardly ever look up nowadays (let alone with that childlike fascination). I came home, plonked myself down in the grass and breathed in the lack of doing. I need so 👏🏻 much 👏🏻 more of this.

My son was 1 when covid hit and we had tickets to go home (New Zealand) April 2020. Of course, tickets were cancelled and now in a few short weeks I’ll be taking my boys to my home for the first time and I am getting so giddy with excitement. I have been telling Dakota about the stars and the treehouse and that there is no electricity and how we will go on glow worm hunts. I can’t wait to give him a taste of my childhood. Counting down the days.

When two pilots get engaged it’s a little bit of a no brainer to just fly over to an island for some golden hour goodness.

Not pictured: me in the back geeking out over every view … then realizing that tiny planes don’t have bathrooms then realizing I had reeeeally hydrated well that day but also …that the flight was so short and all was fine ha. Anyone else this way on small planes?!

I just photographed Will and Sasha again as they are preparing to welcome a new addition into their family. It kind of blew my mind that I was able to capture their engagement, wedding and now their pregnancy. What an insane privilege to be invited into these spaces with people and witness all the mile stones.

Can’t wait to meet your little one and Will!

As we are getting ready to welcome baby two into our world I’m constantly watching mothers with more than one baby wondering how they do it. It just seems so crazy that your heart has more space… how?! I guess I’ll find out.

Family sessions are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Spending time watching the dynamics and capturing the interactions of the various members is so special.

Josh and I are a little unusual and wait until our babes are born to find out what gender they are. So, we still don’t know what we are having! Eeee! Anyone else think this is crazy? Or would you wait? It’s definitely a surreal moment when they arrive. 🥰

Since this little model (Ellie) was born she’s made me think having a girl would be pretty special (let’s be real, the headbands are a huge selling point ;). But then again, we would also be stoked with a little brother when we picture Kota running around with a partner in crime. 🤷‍♀️ ahhh we just can’t go wrong. So excited either way.

I loooove photographing families and little humans. When the weather turns a bit grey and drizzly mini studio sessions are such a good way to keep up with documenting your growing family. Let me know if you’re interested in hearing more! Pets are also very encouraged to join 🥰

My son. You made me a momma and I can’t thank you enough. You’re this tiny little character that has captivated me in a way I didn’t know was possible. I’ve already learned so much from you and I know that you have so much more to show me. I’m so privileged to be your mamma. Thanks for putting up with me and your dad dressing you up in a build-a-bears’ costume (because it was too cute to resist). You’re a little trooper and I’m so proud of you and always will be. Love you son. Im the luckiest mum. x

I cannot imagine getting married and then having to leave each other indefinitely (pending visas). I admire my brother and sister in law’s courage in this whole process. Long distance is one thing, months of distance with your new spouse without an exact timeline of when you’ll be together again seems almost unbearable. So impressed with your resolve and your constant fight to be together. Adore you both. Also - your wedding was amazing to photograph! Such hotties :)

I cheered, I laughed, I face-crumple cried and I learned the meaning of authentic sportsmanship.

These athletes are an inspiration to me and it was such a privilege to be able to photograph their hard work coming to fruition at the Special Olympics.

I could go on and on and on about how amazing the week was but instead I’ll just encourage you to see for yourself and volunteer with your local/state Special Olympics. I promise you, you won’t regret it!
