whenever i first started performing, i really didn't know many other artists that were EDM vocalists / edm pop artists. i didn't really feel like i *fully* fit in with pop bills because i wasn't full blown pop and (i had drops in my set lmao), yet i wasn't a DJ (well yet - i was DJing, but not publicly because i was still learning / wasn't even sure if DJ sets would ever be apart of my artist vision at the time). so, what my friends used to do is throw EDM shows, and even though the bill was all DJs, they believed in me enough to let me play my live sets. i will forever be grateful for how loving and welcoming the nashville local DJs were to support me and my vision and give me a chance, even though one of these on the bill were not like the others. during this time, i also started throwing shows specifically for EDM / electronic pop vocalists so that we could have a a place and platform of our own too. these opportunities were a catalyst in so many ways and laid foundation for where i am today. i'm still this weird hybrid of electronic music and pop star that is constantly evolving and to be honest that's exactly who i am. for those of you long time supporters who are wondering, i plan to continue to perform both live sets and DJ sets as apart of my career (i'm like hannah montana baby, you get the best of both worlds) and i can't wait to be united with you all again soon. my heart is in this entirely. to everyone who's ever given me an opportunity to perform, to anyone who has ever listened to any my music, to anyone who has ever come to one of my shows or supported me in literally any way, know how much i love you and appreciate you being on this journey with me. this year i will make you proud.
