Thank you to all of our clinicians, the many vendors, and hard-working staff who helped make the 2025 Southern Equine Expo a success! The Metro Nashville Police Horse Mounted Patrol, The incredible Diaz Family, Cole Cameron Horsemanship, and all of our presenters bought their best to Middle Tennessee this year!

We are honored to have had three talented C**t Starters this year - thank you Ginger Duke, Shaylin Barnett, and Jessica Harris for showing us your methods of training young horses and for working through the challenges, all while being judged by Perry Neal, Cole Cameron, Brandi Lyons and watched by the crowds in the stands!

Thank you to all who joined us in Murfreesboro! We hope to see you in 2026!

We want to CONGRATULATE Ginger Duke in winning the 2025 Southern Equine C**t Starting Competition.
These horsewomen were amazing to watch as they worked with the Lost Creek Cattle Company fillies.
Congratulations to Shaylin Barnett for placing runner up and Jessica Harris for placing third.
Each of you inspired the audience and captivated the hearts of everyone watching!

Southern Equine Expo Dedicated to Every Horseman

The storms that went through the Southeast earlier this week left a lot of people living in rural areas in need of supplies and care. The Mountain Mule Packers are answering the call to help. Since the need is great, they will NOT be coming to this year's Southern Equine Expo so they can help their neighbors in West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

Please pray for those affected by devasting storms and pray for those run (or ride) into the fire to help others. We hope to have the Mountain Mule Packers at the 2026 Southern Equine Expo.

Charlene Carter will be conducting clinic at the Southern Equine Expo February 21-23, 2025 at the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro TN. There are also a few spot to ride with her on Sunday. Charlene Carter is a national and international multi carded judge, coach, and clinician. She holds cards with AQHA, APHA, ApHC, NSBA, PHBA, ABRA, PtHA, NASMDA and has also officiated at NRHA, IEA, NCEA, IHSA and YEDA shows. She has experience as a Coach and Clinician, having successfully coached the AQHA United Kingdom’s Youth World Cup Team, as well as holding clinics worldwide.

Charlene and her husband Mike have previously produced, instructed, and shown many World and Congress Champions in multiple events. As a judge, she enjoys the rewarding challenge of finding the best horses and riders, those that have the most natural talent and trained techniques.

The Carters have raised their two grandchildren. Brianna is a senior at the University of South Carolina and is an athlete on the NCEA EQUESTRIAN TEAM. Their grandson Ty is successfully in the United States Navy.
