Meet the 2025 Southern Equine Expo C**t Starting Challenge contestants: Shaylin Barnett, Jessica Harris and Ginger Duke. Thank you to our C**t Starting Sponsor Lost Creek Cattle Company.

Shaylin Barnett, from Hinsdale Montana, training philosophy centers on creating soft, willing and forgiving horses by focusing on clear, consistent communication and patience. I believe in building trust and respect, prioritizing partnership, and using calm
leadership to guide the horse.

Jessica Harris believes that each horse, young or old, green or seasoned, of any disciple deserves a custom tailored approach specific to their needs. I have a firm but fair philosophy and consider each session an intricate dance of pressure and release with timing of each being the most important aspect. The goal should always be growth and any try rewarded, continuing to elevate the threshold with trust and guidance. Jessica hails from Whitsett North Carolina.

Ginger Duke from Lafayette Georgia knows that not one method works with every horse. I am a go with flow and see what the horse needs each session.

The Diaz family will showcase the beautiful artistry of Charro Horsemanship during the Southern Equine Expo February 21-23, 2025 held at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, TN.
