Our Story
Fred Scharmer and Michelle Harris met while attending Muskegon Catholic High School. They shared a passion for the culinary arts and business that took them to Michigan State University and then to Johnson & Wales University, working their way through college in various restaurants while envisioning a future in the hospitality industry.
Their first big success was the now well known Pints & Quarts, followed by Next Door, and a succession of other fine restaurants in the Muskegon area. Eventually, the Harris Hospitality Group expanded to include the highly regarded Harris Catering, offering an extensive and varied cuisine of catering choices at the finest venus in Muskegon such as the Verdonis Event Center, The Event Center at Fricano Place, The Deck, and more!
