Merle Haggard, country music legend, will be honored with the unveiling of a bronze statue in Muskogee, Oklahoma, sculpted by world-renowned sculptor, Ben Victor. After the unveiling, a tribute concert presented by the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Museum will take place at the Muskogee Civic Center with Merle's sons, Ben Haggard and Noel Haggard, as headliners. They will be joined by various artists paying tribute to Merle. You won't want to miss this historic event and the iconic music of one of the world’s most beloved singer/songwriter/musician performed by some of the best musicians around.

Make Music Day in Muskogee is Friday, June 21, and one week away, so here comes the social media wave! We’re sharing musicians and locations, and Johnny Winkle will perform music outside with special guests Hoimaha Coin and John Denault at the Muskogee Civic Center Plaza. Johnny is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is drummer and vocalist for Muskogee's Wild Card Band and a member of several other local/regional bands. He plays in many genres including blues, country, disco, jazz, pop, rhythm and blues, rock, swing, and Western swing.

Please share and watch for more Make Music Day participants and places—the first day of summer will be amazing!

Ever wonder what the giant screens are in the NE corner of the arena?

The building was constructed with a giant pipe organ inside! Still fully functional, the organ is serviced regularly by the American Theater Organ Society.

Coming soon we will host a Food Truck event where you can grab lunch, listen to and tour the organ room.
