Wedding photography is not meant for every photographer. How to tell if a photographer is actually good or not.

✅ Do they respond in a timely manner? A person who takes their business serious knows how important a response is!
✅ Do you see harsh shadows in their examples? Especially in beach our outdoor photos? This usually indicates they are using auto settings, NOT manual mode, and don’t know how to work with or find good light. Manual mode creates that blurred background for depth of field.
✅ Is their portfolio consistent?(lighting) A consistent portfolio indicates they have been photographing a while and found their style.
✅ Do they have a contract? This is very important it protects you and the photographer. It assures you to hold them accountable and no flaking out or late cancellations… and attached an invoice.
