“How lucky it is to have something that makes it so hard to say goodbye”
Last week was the most bittersweet week ever! We said goodbye to SO many of our friendliest faces. We said goodbye to Campus Outreach who have completed their summer program with us and they’re headed back to college! (see previous post). Then our Shift Lead, Dru Taylor, who will be focusing on his teaching career. Then we said goodbye to Alisha and our Area Lead, Lilly who will be going away to college. Overall our team has felt a whirlwind of feeling proud and happy for them that they are continuing onto a new beginning, while also feeling sad that we don’t get to see them everyday anymore!
Dru, Lilly, and Alisha have all been with Chick-fil-A Surfside for a long time! Dru has been with us for about 5 years and Lilly and Alisha have been with us for roughly 2 years! Their employment here has made a positive lasting impact on all of us. For some of them this was their first job, and we feel so grateful we got to see them all grow into the motivated, positive, and intelligent adults they have become. They have spent their teen years to adulthood with CFA Surfside, have formed so many lasting friendships through CFA Surfside, and have proven to all of us at CFA Surfside that no matter where their paths take them, anyone would be lucky to have on their team.
We wish you ALL the best of luck and can’t wait to see some of you return for breaks and summer!!!
