Inadequate, fear of failure. 1000s of dollars spent just to get my name out there along with so much free junk given away. Then, the pressure of social media- unreal. These are my 2020 feelings I experienced opening a business in the middle of a pandemic.

Fast forward 5 years later if there’s no failures you’re not growing. I need failures to better myself! Don’t sell yourself short stay firm take pride in your business and pricing. Set boundaries, it’s your business. Unfollow those folks in your same field. That’s your space and no one should dictate your feelings in your space you’ve created!

For me the number one thing I have learned is be yourself! And my biggest compliment is word of mouth!

So Thank You thank you Thank you for all of you that have supported us our family the last 5 years🧡

BTW my daughter and husband are killin it running and maintaining it while I am at work!

Spring pruning is essential for keeping roses healthy, vigorous, and blooming abundantly throughout the season

No, I am really not a huge fan of roses, but I do have a handful of some garden varieties. I need them in my life for the smell!

Roses like cooler weather and give us our first big show of color shortly after spring hits us.

My favorite variety of roses that line our walkway with continuous blooms is the Knock Out variety. She requires very little maintenance and is extremely forgiving which is another life requirement.

Have some space in your garden beds you would like to fill up?

Just by planting a couple of these varieties of plants, I can promise they will be the gift that keeps on giving! These are just a few of our favorites that have literally taken over.

Remember to only cut them back in the spring of the following year so all those flower head seeds will reseed. Not only that, but it’s wonderful to go through fall/winter for our feathered friends to enjoy the seeds and the habitat you’re providing for them.

Just another of many seed starting mistakes I have made..

Don’t forget to check that label or do a little research, as some seeds require a period of cold stratification in order to germinate. Meaning they need to experience going through some cold winter months to germinate. When seeding we need to mimic what would happen in nature. So throw them in a cold place. For me that is putting them in a container in the freezer. Although, I have left them outside in my barn out of reach of critters and they’ve germinated! Whatever works best for you, just don’t forget this important step! We promise your germination rates will be much higher 🙌

Now while I don’t particularly enjoy seeding inside but love outdoor seeding.. We have created an E-book on seeding outdoors and all the tips you will need to have success! Comment grow to get our E-book so you can experience the joy of watching your seeds come to life 🌱

Don’t ever think you have to fork out thousands and thousands of dollars hiring a landscaper to help you get the yard you dream of. We have an even better solution! Opting not to hire a designer or landscaper means you’re responsible for crafting your space exactly how YOU want it. You get full control over your design, plant choices, and style.

I promise once you put the time into creating your own space, you will tend to it better, as you know all the hard work that went into it. You will feel a sense of gratification! You will have a sense of accomplishment and take great pride in your outdoor space. You can then take these talents into any space, whether it’s because you move or to help someone else create their space.

I can’t tell you how many people I have worked with and have watched the joy, confidence, and freedom the process brought them by creating their own spaces. This could be you!

Comment cottage to grab our E-book that will give you the knowledge you need to achieve this too 🌻

After many years of gardening (no I do not have any gardening degrees), taking notes, journaling with a TON of trial and error… we have compiled a list of the easiest perennials and annuals grown from seed directly into your garden!

If we are being completely honest the only time I ever started flower seeds indoors was when I started my flower farm 5 years ago. I only start seeds in my home for the flower field. The minute I am done flower farming it will be back to the basics.

Sometimes I miss the simplicity of sowing seeds outside, as that is all I have ever known. I grew up with a mother and grandmother planting seeds out in their garden or flower beds.

This guide is not about soil blocking, or starting seeds in trays inside. Who has time for that when you’re a busy mama, working full time and just life in general. Man I get it, life is busy! This will be a handy guide to have everything in one place letting you know when and how to begin.

Think big start small.

Picking a big space to landscape can feel overwhelming. Start small! I started small and 10 years later am still whittling away at my grass. My goal is to have no grass on my side yard. I envision meandering paths with more trellis that I just keep adding. Like I said it’s been a 10 year in the making!

If you start too big before you know it the weeds have overtaken and overwhelmed you.

Shes been her brothers care taker for years now. His name is Robert. Met as her daughter got married on our property this year.

Every week for the past month Mary Ann has been bringing Robert to the farm to work and it’s been complete joy having them!

Just want to take the time to show gratitude and love for this community!

Overwhelmed by the amount of responses, private messages, and conversations over my burn out post.

Still have folks who think I am not doing the u pick next year and that’s not true. What I am doing is setting boundaries for myself and my family so we don’t feel like burning up with the place.

Thank you for celebrating an anniversary, a birthday, a date night, and a girls night all with us in our beautiful space!

We hope you all enjoyed an end of summer dinner with us because my heart couldn’t be fuller knowing we pulled this one off as a family! Special thanks to my mother for being our chef and bartender! My daughter for putting up with all my crazy ideas and helping me pull them off. We can’t forget the 10 year old granddaughter Ava who is our servant to all of her needs. I am sure she gets tired of her name being screamed at in many different directions. Lol

Special thanks to .idaho who captured these photos so beautifully as there would of been none without you!

See that sign hanging behind this couple?

This beautiful bride surprised me with that handmade sign. I cried, it meant so much to me!

This was our July 4th wedding and it opened my eyes to such a young gal with an old soul. Her sister made this beautiful wedding dress. The detail and old fashion look was incredible! In fact the detail in her wedding was so beautifully thought out. I felt like I was a small part of an old romantic film.
idaho thank you for this gorgeous gallery. I had a hard time choosing my favorites!

What an honor to have been able to share such a intimate wedding with this beautiful family!

We are at a pretty heavy cross road, like I would rather go get a job and not work on my own property anymore. That’s were I am at.

Took on to many weddings this season, been burned by women who I have throughly supported and I considered them friends. Complete strangers have been more of a support and I love you for that!

Next year will be season number 5. I feel like I need to give up the you pick and concentrate on special events, but my heart has always been in growing, planting and cultivating. That’s where I want to keep it.

If you have booked for next year I will honor my prices, but next season (2024) there will only be a handful of events and prices have gone up.

I want to get back to enjoying and loving my home, not feeling like a complete bitch, because I am absolutely exhausted. At this point the place could burn down and take me with it.

A special THANK YOU to the photographers that send me your gallery or at least tag us in your photos. hit the ball out of the park with these photos. Just a few of my favs.
