Event Planning 101:
1. I have always practiced K.I.S.S. "Keep it Simple Stupid"
2. Work with what you have; if you have a Barn, then make it the best Barn possible; but don't attempt to turn it into a ballroom.
3. Know your demographic; Young, hip, contemporary vs. Mature, Refined, Sophisticated
4. God is in the Details...goes without saying
5. I am as strong as my weakest link; I support my team from bottom to top.
6. Be kind to everyone, from dishwasher to guest of honor
7. Lead with a smile
8. Be Direct with your staff, clients, guests
9. Never let them see you sweat; I am a Fire Chief when the Event commences
10. Be the last man standing; manage every detail from start to finish

Love Favor...!!!

When food-lovers get married...of course their wedding emblem needs to have a fork and spoon!

This order was logistically challenging because the Napa earthquake hit just days before the wedding, but a stellar team led by David Aten Events and Cole Drake Events made it all happen despite closed hotels, crumbling roads and more than a couple aftershocks. True professionals!

David Aten Events happy to report that Karla Jensen, Director of Hospitality at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, was an authentic, gracious, friendly host to our Nu West Group from Seattle.
Napa Valley Tours and Transportation [driver Paul] delivered us safely to all of our local destinations. Darioush Winery - Napa Valley offered a luxurious experience in the afternoon.
Rutherford Hill Winery was the perfect picnic spot. And local, photographer, Lowell Downey blessed us with memories of the day with his eye for capturing memorable images [NO SELFIES].
