Festival Napa Valley's Blackburn Music Academy has extended the Deadline for Applications to February 22! Get your applications in NOW!

The Academy will run from July 1 - 20, 2025, and is open to all instrumentalists 18 years and older.

The Frost School at Festival Napa Valley’s Blackburn Music Academy is a tuition-free immersive summer music program for emerging professional instrumentalists in the idyllic setting of Napa Valley. Led by a distinguished core faculty of musicians from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music and leading orchestras and institutions, the Academy gives participants the opportunity to study and perform with some of the world's most accomplished artists.

🎶 Festival Napa Valley & NVC: Inspiring the Next Generation of Artists 🎶

Napa Valley College is proud to be a longtime partner of Festival Napa Valley, hosting the Blackburn Music Academy at our Performing Arts Center each summer. This tuition-free program offers emerging professional musicians the chance to study with world-class faculty from the Frost School of Music and perform in the heart of Napa Valley. Participants engage in chamber and orchestral concerts, vocal and instrumental workshops, and professional development, all while enjoying housing, meals, and a travel stipend.

Beyond Blackburn, Festival Napa Valley is a dedicated supporter of the arts at NVC, awarding a grant to our Performing Arts Center in support of Shakespeare Napa Valley and returning as a sponsor of Viva Mariachi. Together, we are creating unforgettable experiences and fostering the next generation of talent.

A huge thank you to the Napa Valley College Community Foundation for awarding $2,000 grants to both our Basic Needs Center and The Puente Project!

The Basic Needs Center at NVC works tirelessly to remove barriers and provide equitable access to essential resources such as food, housing, and financial, physical, and mental wellness for our students, transforming our campus community.

The Puente Project is an incredible academic support program and learning community focused on increasing the number of educationally underrepresented students who enroll in four-year colleges, earn degrees, and return to our community as mentors and leaders for future generations.
