You don’t know what you had until it’s gone. And we are so incredibly blessed to have it back!

The 50th celebration of the TCS New York City Marathon was more than just a return to running. It was a return to living. It was a return to smiling, laughing, and hugging. It was also a return to those things you forget about that this job brings including sweating, somehow also freezing, dirt under your fingernails, early mornings, late nights, ALL of the manual labor, and a chain link fence panel crushing your toe. But who would trade it?!

A great big thank you from BPRM’s team zip and snip to the New York Road Runners, Ted Metellus, Tommy T, and Christy Wray for welcoming us back to our role and allowing us to be along for this ride. We are walking away with the best memories of this spectacular fall of returning to running. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

For the first time in 18 months, some of the top race directors in America gathered this week to share best practices and to explain what fall races will look like for runners. Will there be expos? Will you have to wear a mask on the course? Will you be asked to show a vaccine card? What about wave....

BPRM's own Kevin Pool was featured on the latest episode from the Runners of the Bay podcast. Kevin is fairly quiet and "doesn't do" social media, so you may not know that his running past included several quests for the marathon olympic trials, including a sub 2:19 marathon at his peak back in 2013. While he never captured that 2:19 during the window he needed and never competed in the olympic trials, he has still made a lasting impact on the running industry and the communities in which he lives and where he puts on races.

Even I learned something about Kevin during this podcast. Running does not motivate us in the same ways. He's a team guy, through and through.

*Also, he references his peak fitness leading into the 2013 Boston Marathon but what he would never say is he peaked at 128 miles per week.🔥🔥
Enjoy!
