A behind the scenes moment just doing what I love 🤍 There is something so special about the very final touches to wedding day setup! Ensuring your table numbers are positioned in a way that makes the most sense for guests to see from their entry point, perfecting place settings, cross checking chair counts, lighting candles - it is SO exciting to see couples’ visions that we have been chatting about for months come together!

Some favs from Annie + Max’s June wedding day 💫 A day that was truly so full of joy and importantly, so THEM - from Harry Potter scrapbook guestbooks to their sweet, personalized ceremony to their unicorn couple’s cake topper, no detail went overlooked or unnoticed. SO much fun!

This late August heat wave we are having in Chicago felt like the perfect time to share a few tips for all of my couples planning an outdoor ceremony this season or next! ☀️

- MOST important: make sure you have a plan B location that you also love! Whether it be due to crazy high temps or rain, weather is outside of our control and sometimes leaves us no choice but to pivot!

- Provide your guests with water/cool beverages pre-ceremony as they wait. Umbrellas and fans at each seat/passed etc. are great too, but may or may not be necessary and will be an additional cost! These are all things that your coordinator can set out for you for guests to then grab as they enter the space, or they can pass out individually to each guest as desired.

- If possible with your venue and locations are close in proximity to each other, consider having your early arriving guests wait inside pre-ceremony and ask your coordinator to have them transition outside 10 mins prior to your ceremony start time!

- Include attire suggestions on your website/insert cards! If your wedding is in mid October and planned to be outside, note that, and suggest guests dress warmly/accordingly. Or if your wedding is planned to take place on a grassy lawn, note that, and suggest guests avoid thin heels etc.!

A few favs from Amanda & Dylan’s wedding in June! A day I will never ever forget in the best way! The way these two embraced the nonstop pouring rain, just amazing 😍 Truly right out of the Notebook and SO beautifully captured by . You could feel the love and joy radiating around these two all day and night 🤍

So many small details and considerations go into planning your wedding ceremony! ✨ Something I always ensure that I understand a couple’s preferences on beforehand is the importance of punctuality: would you like to get started right at the ceremony start time you have stated on invites regardless of who is present or not?

Etiquette, importance of respecting others time, likely traffic/parking delays, a notoriously late crowd etc. may all be weighed when a couple decides their stance here. A first touch & private vows 🥹 The sweetest!!!

For any couple waiting to see each other until their ceremony, I would highly recommend doing a first touch - this often helps with pre-ceremony nerves (& makes for some super sweet photos!). If you are doing private vows and/or gifts, this can be a great time to exchange those as well. 🤍

Chicago couples are so fortunate to have such a wide variety of options for photo locations! From green/parks to the river to iconic architecture/buildings - I mean seriously, so so stunning!!! 😍 While city travel times can be crazy, the results are worth the extra hustle and buffers are always included in our timelines for this! 🤍

I am the biggest advocate for sweetheart tables and would recommend this to every single couple!!

After a day of being so “on” - photos, nerves, interacting with family/wedding party/guests - I love the idea of taking this time to enjoy dinner with your new spouse one on one, at least for a portion of this timeframe 🤍
