Blue seems to be the color of the season! Fridays wedding had the East Lawn of Cantigny as the ceremony site and Cantigny Golf Club for the reception. The brides bouquet consisted of white lisianthus, white roses, light blue delphinium, veronica, thistle, Ruscus and eucalyptus. Arrangements alternated high and low and were designed with blue hydrangea, white hydrangea, stock, roses, white statice, light blue delphinium and assorted eucalyptus. Cantigny Cantigny Golf

Last round of pictures from last week’s wedding. It was truly a team effort and I am so proud of my entire staff. After the rehearsal dinner, all of the flowers and garlands were picked up and stored in our cooler to be used again at the wedding. We had such a wonderful time getting to know our bride and her family and the groom’s family. It was so rewarding seeing all of the planning come together and flow so well - it was truly a pleasure!

It makes us so happy to support local growers in the area. We have a group come up every week from Pontiac Illinois who bring us fresh blooms from their fields. Another wholesaler grows her blooms right at McDonald Farm on 95th street in Naperville. Our zinnia, scabiosa, feverfew, Queen Anne’s lace, verbena, dahlias, marigolds, phlox, Veronica - all grown in Illinois and cut fresh! fencepostflorals

This past weekend we had a rehearsal dinner in Downtown Naperville at La Sorella Di Francesca. Th way rented staggered cylinder vases with floating candles along the table with a garland and accents of white blooms. The high boys had a beautiful vase of white and green hydrangea with mixed eucalyptus. The food table arrangement sits on top of a rented vase and includes Monte casino, white stock, Limonium, spray roses and mixed greenery with curly willow tips coming out the top.

Cicada Special! We have jumped on the bug bandwagon with Naperville’s bug decorations and made some specialties this week! Lady bugs, bees and cicadas are here! (No cicadas were harmed - we are surrounded by ear piercing swarms and these were dead on our driveway)

Beautiful bridal shower at Arrowhead this weekend. Green hydrangea with pink sweetheart roses, baby breath and assorted greens helped finish the room perfectly.

Congratulations to our bride and groom from last weekend! Hotel Arista was the setting for a beautiful and romantic reception. Tables alternated between high and low with rented vases holding silk cherry blossoms, vases with floating candles and beautiful arrangements with roses, spray roses, stock and eucalyptus

We survived four proms, teacher appreciation week, nurse’s appreciation week and now will focus just on moms. We are open 9-2 tomorrow (Sunday) for your shopping needs!
