The covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is the most beautiful gift God has given us. No wonder the enemy of our souls works so hard to destroy it, weaken it, dilute it. Because when that bond is strong, there is nothing that can stop them together: 2 souls knit together by God, sealed with his blood, infused with fire, a chord of 3 strands that cannot be easily broken. It is a reflection of God himself and his love. To know someone intimately and love them fiercely, through good and bad, is one of the greatest gifts in life. People have gotten so far away from God’s original design, but it was meant to protect us and bring us deep satisfaction as we live out our purpose together. It is not good to be alone. Unless you have the gift of singleness. Some do. But many have just given up. God is still at work in hearts and lives. There still exists men and women who are committed to this type of love. Many are sick and tired of the current status quo of selfishness and lack of love, only lust. That never lasts and it always falls short. God’s type of love includes desire but is so much more and it lasts and is new everyday, I know God’s type of love still exists. I have seen it and experienced it. This is the kind of love I am praying for. It is worth waiting for and it is worth all of the commitment we have to give.

People use the term narcissist much too liberally these days. I have studied the subject extensively and Although we can all exhibit narcissistic qualities, a true narcissist is all about CONTROL and getting SUPPLY (financial, status, etc) from others and does not have true empathy. They are only in every relationship for themselves. The COVERT narcissist is the one who will fool you because unlike the overt or flamboyant narcissist, they do not seek the limelight it rather always have a victim story or something that will garner EMPATHY and supply/support from others. They also use CHARM to manipulate. They are usually attracted to POWERFUL, SUCCESSFUL and EMPATHETIC individuals as their targets because that is their biggest source of supply and they take full advantage of empathy. For resources on this subject, DM me. Do not fall prey to their schemes - you will lose YEARS of your life, resources and your self esteem in this type of relationship. Do not be USED or deceived. They only want what they need in the moment, then will discard or devalue you when you ask for more of a commitment - with excuses like we just don’t fit anymore … and they will simply move on to the next supply and start the game all over.

If you are only focused on money and what you can get, you have missed the boat. True abundance and fulfillment comes from what we GIVE, not what we GET. I have learned the secret of being content with less and using my gifts to help others. Not focused on money but on LIFE and living well which has very little to do with my possessions. The most important aspect of a relationship is in alignment of PURPOSE. That will outlast everything else. I wrote about it in my book The Purpose Driven Power Couple. And I still stand by it. Growth requires feeling uncomfortable for awhile:

1) Learning something new makes you feel dumb at first. If you are not making mistakes, you are probably not attempting something challenging.

2) Changing your financial situation requires doing hard things at first, working harder, sticking to a budget or saying no to certain things in order to get to a better place.

3) Getting the relationships you want requires setting boundaries, having difficult conversations, practicing empathy more often than selfishness, having an us mentality, forgiving often, working on your own flaws rather than hyper focusing on theirs, or maybe sitting uncomfortably in a period of singleness because you are unwilling to settle and you know the qualities you want in a person are rare and worth waiting for. Work on yourself while you wait so you will attract what you are becoming.

Be willing to sit in discomfort while you are GROWING TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Then take time to celebrate each milestone of growth when you get there.
