When I started my rebrand, a lot of other ideas ended up coming along with it. Redoing my website was a big one. But I had this idea to do a video (which turned into multiple videos) to show who I am, behind the scenes of me shooting, and client testimonials. This was out of my comfort zone, but I wanted a way for new clients to connect with me before booking. I'm really thankful to those that have helped my visions come to life and have supported me along the way. Part 1 of 2 of the testimonials. Thank you so so much Steph ❤️

I can finally share what's been in the works for over 6 months now, and I'm so excited 🎉

I decided to do a complete rebrand - new logo, new website, new headshots, branding/testimonial videos, the list goes on. I was very intentional with every detail and have spent so much time making sure everything represented me in a way that felt right.

My old logo and site were made very early on in my career. So much has changed since then, both personally and professionally. Once I started to dive into every corner of my site, I realized how much was outdated and needed to be updated. My editing style isn't the same. The areas my site focused on weren't the main things I shoot now. So we kept diving deeper and making more changes. I really wanted you to be able to go to the site and get a good idea of who I am and what you will get when booking with me.

This year will be 11 years since I started my business. I worked so hard to build my business up, and in more recent years, there's been some things that have slowed me down. The last 6 years especially have personally changed me in many ways. I've had 2 beautiful babies that I have given my all to. I unexpectedly lost my mom in 2020, and if you've been through a significant loss, you know the toll it takes. Between navigating motherhood, grief, and all the changes this world has thrown our way, it was a lot.

So this is my way of saying that I'm back in full force! My passion, my motivation, my excitement for my company is stronger than ever. I will still be part time for the rest of this year, but heading into 2025, I will be full time and hoping to see as many of your faces and capture as many of your memories as possible.

Thank you for your support, truly. Whether you're new here or have been here since the beginning, if you book me year after year or if you show love on here, I really appreciate you. I couldn't do my dream job without you all!

Yesterday was really special. I got to meet Aurelia, this sweet little warrior, who was full of so much fun, love, and energy. It's so hard to pick my favorites, but these are a few. These shoots always inspire me and fill my heart more than any others.

If you've been around here for a while, you probably already know, but I do free shoots for those battling cancer. Whether it's before, during, or after treatment, we try to capture some special moments for these fighters and their families. If you know someone going through a health battle, reach out, and I'll set up a shoot for them ❤️

I love connecting with you guys during a shoot. So many of my clients have turned into good friends. Colleen and I instantly bonded over motherhood, grief, and faith. She's truly as beautiful inside as she is out and is one of the strongest women you'd ever come across.

Field shoots are always my favorite, and the emotions between this mama and her babies was something special!

I did polls in my Instagram stories yesterday and figured we could bring the conversation over here. Do you prefer color or black and white photos? Posed pictures or candid?

Color and candids won on Instagram, and I'm going to go against the popular opinion. There's something about the way b&w elevates the emotions in the picture. And it's so timeless to me. I think they're the ones your grandkids will look back on one day and think wow, there was so much love there ❤️

I can't believe 2 out of 3 of our minis are already done! I've loved seeing so many of you! If you've picked your favorites from the proofs, your final images are in your inbox! Please make sure to download and save within 30 days. If you are still picking your favorites from the proofs, I will be out of town tomorrow until next Tuesday so I will start working on them as soon as I get back!

Our last day of minis at this beautiful farm setup is less than 2 weeks away! These are not ones you want to miss! The day of, one of their beautiful horses will be in the stall behind the believe sign. My kids had such a blast when we did these pictures getting to see the animals, and I'm so excited to get to offer this to all of you. It's something different than I've done before, but it turned out better than I could've imagined! I can only book 5 more spots so don't wait!

Sweet babies, your mama has fought for you in more ways than one and you are so lucky to have her. This first picture took my breath away the second I clicked on it. Aimee is pregnant with twins, her rainbow babies. And there are two rainbow sun flares to the left and a sun beam pointing right to her belly. Doesn't get more magical than that 🌈❤️

Sunday evening I had my first set of mini shoots for the season. They didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. I've been to this park many times both for shoots and with my kids and never have had an issue, but that night, the mosquitoes were out of control. I've lived in FL all my life and have never been swarmed so bad. I had bug spray to give everyone, but it didn't seem to help. I felt so awful. On top of that, this park is very spread out. It was my first time doing minis there, and I thought I could make it work. It was more challenging than I expected, and I had to run from one side of the park to the other after each shoot. I came home feeling tired, defeated, and I had over 125 mosquito bites.

Now usually I would not share all of this. I care so much about your experience with me, I'd never want to focus on any negatives. I'm too hard on myself already. But there's a point to all this. The next day I sat down at my computer to look at all of the pictures. I was like wow, these are good. Then I started editing and realized they were really good. Like I was truly obsessed with each gallery. As my clients started to get their proofs back, they felt the same way. Everyone reached out saying how much they loved them, and I had more gallery upgrades than I have for any other minis.

What started as me being down on myself for things not going as planned ended up with me feeling proud of myself for getting some of my favorite images even though conditions weren't ideal. I've been so grateful thinking of my clients that trust my vision, that see me year after year, and that are so kind with words of encouragement. All of these things mean more to me than you'll ever know.

Things don't always go as planned. It's true that difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. Thank you to all who have read this far and an even bigger thank you to my clients from Sunday night ❤️

A few favorites with one of the best sunsets I've ever seen! It kept getting better and better, so beautiful! This mama was glowing and is so excited to meet her baby boy soon ❤️

A little update on Fall openings and Christmas minis - dates and details have been set for a while, but I've been waiting on one vendor to send me their paperwork. I don't want to start booking until it's 1000% secured. Hoping we can start this week, but in case you want to save the dates, it will be as followed:

The last month has been filled with birthdays, celebrations, and so many fun events. My big girl turned 5 at the end of April! She's so fun, sweet, and sassy.

Now that I'm finally getting caught up and entering my slower time of year, hoping to post more and share some of what I've worked on the last few months.

My sweet baby boy turned ONE today 🎉

We call him our little sunshine, but he is strong willed, adventurous, and constantly keeps us on our toes. That smile of his can brighten anyone's day!

He is not my sit still and smile kid, and I knew I'd have my work cut out with these pictures. I was reminded how the behind the scenes prep that goes into the photo shoot is also not easy 😅 There was a lot of fussing, and we were all stressed by the end (and covered in icing). BUT we still got some great shots!
