Event: Beloved Not Forgotten - 1st Annual Paddle Auction
Details:
-Event Date: Sat, Sept 30, 2023
-Times: The auction runs 12-2:30ish, vendor shopping will begin @ 11 am and will last approx 1 hour after the auction. Setup wil be available Fri, Sept 29 @ 3-6 pm & Sat, Sept 30 @ 8-10:30 am with a meeting for all present at 10:30 am. Teardown will begin approx 4pm, to be cleaned up and out the door by 6pm.
-Location: Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds, Commercial Building F, Goshen, IN
-Cost: $30 per (approx) 10x10 booth.
-This is a Dollar Paddle Auction, not a quarter auction. Every bid will be $1 per paddle no matter the value of the item.
-We are asking for 1 donated item/basket per vendor. You may give more items/baskets but you will not receive any money for them.
-Concessions will be available for the entire event.
-50/50 Raffle and maybe 1 or 2 others.
-Paddles are $5 each. Vendors get 1 paddle free. We are going to pre-sell up to 200 paddles and have a drawing for all the presold ticket. Prize will be $5 cash (paddle fee) and up to a $10 value other gift.
-Application Deadline: September 1, 2023.

I'm looking ahead to schedule a benefit craft show at the Dutch Village Restaurant.
Would find it easier to shop the Saturday following Thanksgiving (aka Small Business Saturday) or the 1st Saturday in December?

The benefit portion would go to a friend's husband's (cancer) medical expenses.

Thank you again to everyone that came out last nightto the paddle auction to support and bid for a great cause. If all my calculations are correct we raised $666.00 for Nalanee's heart surgery. I have one more trip to the bank to make to confirm the final total.

I will keep everyone posted on our page on upcoming events and causes.

Ever been to a Quarter / Paddle Auction??
If not, here is a description of what to expect.

1) Bring lots of quarters.
2) You bid on items you're interested in by following the bid instructions, 1 quarter, 2 quarter, 3 quarter, or 4 quarter. Place bid in provided cup and raise paddle indicating you placed a bid.
3) The MC pulls and announces a ball from the cage and if that paddle is in the air, that person wins the item. If that paddle is not in the air, the MC keeps pulling balls and calling numbers until a winner is "found".
4) This is a fun, medium to fast paced event. You never know what you'll walk away with.
5) At our event on Sat, May 15, will will also be selling raffle tickets to a 50/50 drawing. At the end of the Auction, we will be pulling the winning number and the winner will receive 1/2 of the money collected from the sell of the tickets. The 2nd half will go to our cause.

Our next event is lined up.
We will be helping a friend of a friend in Sri Lanka. She is in desperate need of a triple bypass, but must have $8000 usd up front for surgery.
We will be holding a Quarter/Paddle Auction on Saturday May 15 in Nappanee. I'll post the flyer as soon as it's ready.

Tickets are $5 each paddle, in advance. Tickets go on sale Wed, May 5. Message me how many you need. At the door price will be the same.

Putting a Quarter Auction together for a friend's friend's mother in Sri Lanka who needs a triple bypass. in order for them to do the surgery they need approx $8000 usd up front.

We have Tupperware & Usborne lined up already. If you would be interested as a vendor, please comment with your email address for vendor agreement. We are looking to have it in Nappanee on May 15. Waiting for confirmation with the church for the space and date.

We love Spring because our surroundings come back to new life. Celebrating Passover, and reflecting on all the new growth and life of Beloved. We are thankful that on April 19th, Dawnna Plummer will transition to full time, we have two new board members, we will be launching a new newsletter and logo, and just yesterday we found a potential home! We have two weeks to raise $250,000 to purchase a home already zoned and in need of minimal repair. Please pray that if this is to be our home, donors will step forward. I am beginning to work with Beloved: Not Forgotten in a fundraising aspect.
Look for opportunities to get involved in the near future.

One way you can get involved now is prayer. Pray for doors to be open, that funds can be raised within another week to be able to purchase a safe house. $250,000 house with plenty of bed space to help rescue trafficked ladies.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to all that spread the word, donated, and bid on the Online Auction for the Gingerich Family Adoption.
You helped us raise $910 on the auction alone.

Happening today and tomorrow is the Rummage Sale at Dutch Village Restaurant, in the banquet rooms. Come shop some more wonderful donations and help the Gingerich Family finish raising the much-needed funds.
