Movie Featuring Nashville Planned For Local Premiere!

Not very often does Hollywood come to Nashville, Michigan, so a group of local Maple Valley students and a film crew made their own movie which will debut at a Short Film Festival hosted at FoxView Friday, May 10, at 7pm.

The film was an entry in the Capital City Film Fest original short film competition where it was selected as one of the top 12 best entries.

With a running time of under ten minutes, scenes in the movie were filmed at FoxView, as well as Carl's Supermarket. The locally made movie, titled "Paper or Plastic", will have its hometown debut Friday, May 10.

Doors open at 7pm and a variety of other short films, including "Paper or Plastic", will begin showing at 7:30pm.

Attendees can vote for their favorite, win prizes, and even bid on items and props used in the making of the movie. All ages welcome. After starting his show with magic and comedy, Chuck King asks for volunteers from the audience to be hypnotized, and become the true stars of the show. Expect to burst into laughter when fellow coworkers, friends or spouses go from driving a race car to bird watching...and even being pulled over by the police...plus at least a dozen other funny scenarios!

Chuck is widely recognized as the “King of Clean Comedy”, and his show is appropriate for all ages. This is not a kiddie show, but the audience participation, comedy, and magic make for an entertaining show the entire family can enjoy together.
