At Pathways Kitchen, the kitchen is our classroom, but it's only the beginning. Hear from Quorben as he shares where his path is taking him:

"My path looks like me going through many failures and achievements to get to the spot in life Iā€™m working hard towards being at. Throughout my life has been rough and thereā€™s a lot of things Iā€™ve done in my past I canā€™t change that I wish I could. But itā€™s a new year, new month & a new day. I have a music career that I am focusing on pursuing and I also have a hidden talent in business/digital marketing, video editing & photography and just a great partner to work with above all. I left school during the ninth grade which was 6 years ago and started to attend penn foster and graduated in may of 2023. so Iā€™ll be heading to college soon for more school experience and education. I hope you enjoyed hearing about the path Iā€™m on and thank you for listening to me."

Promotion Day is the culmination of our 8-week introductory training program, and it marks the day when our youth are eligible for work opportunities in our culinary social enterprises. This cohort will have their first shift next week cooking up food for our Thanksgiving Thrive Meals!
