Just want to share this scripture that was shared with us on the prayer call from Saved in the City yesterday morning ⬇️

“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.”

Nun, seeing more about God on all of my timelines/pages. I LOVE IT!!

Keep seeking Him! Understand this walk won’t be all unicorns and rainbows all the time, BUT HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT. You HAVE TO FULLY, not half way, do this. Ain’t no half stepping with HIM. No, you won’t be perfect and don’t try to be but as you spend time with HIM & in HIS Word you’re held accountable to uphold to it: LIVE IT OUT‼️

Oh, it won’t matter what you did before that moment and trust and believe folks who had access to the hold you will try to hold you back or bring up all you did: LET EM AND KEEP IT MOVING! This comes with it. Don’t go back though to how you were. It’s nothing fruitful there! Once HE forgives you forgive yourself! Soon as you ask HIM it’s already done 🙃. BELIEVE THAT!

“Put Christ over Culture”

We should be prioritizing God’s principles in our lives over societal norms. Often times culture often promotes self-indulgence, however contrasting this with Paul’s call in Romans 12:2 we are to be transformed by renewing our minds. Every believer should seek discernment from God and should consider practical steps to resist cultural pressures:

1. Examine Your Influences: Assess whether your influences are bringing you closer to God.
2. Get Rooted in Scripture:
Anchor yourself in biblical teachings.
3. Embrace Counter-Cultural Values: Focus on serving others, forgiving, and letting go of grievances.
4. Build a Supportive Community: Identify a church life group that can provide accountability and support.

Our lives should always reflect Christ’s values rather than conforming to cultural expectations.
